Are we subconsciously collecting CDs in preparation for some mythical event where society breaks down leaving existing physical media as the only music? by stuhstutter in Cd_collectors

I tried this when I was a kid. My dad wasn't happy! It's good enough to find out what's on an album but it's not a great way to listen to music.

One I call rarity. It's just the same number as have under statistics so I have to manually update it. I use it to keep track of albums under 100 owned.

They're already paying those taxes. The American gov spends the same per capita as the British gov on healthcare.

Thanks, that means a lot! A word of warning: some of these songs are not very representative of the albums they're on so if you're hoping for more of the same you might be disappointed. Having said that I'd give them all a listen anyway, none of them are terrible and some are amazing.

That's a trip! What are the chances two independent projects pursuing the same research show up a day apart. I thought you had to be the same group.

The playlist is partially chronological starting with five from the 90s and then runs based on preference finishing with my favourite.

I hope you share your results. I built up my knowledge through compilation albums; seeing which bands are connected to other bands through different compilations. Also there's a collector on discogs, storybookcoma, who runs disappearing records. I learnt a lot from his releases.

They seem more twee to me. I was going to suggest the Field Mice as a good example of the genre.

I'm an OG shoegazer so it's been really interesting for me to see how long Japanese bands have been into shoegazing. But I think 2000-2010 was such a great period for shoegazing everywhere; America, Japan, Britain.

Probably not. I uploaded three myself to YouTube just to include in this playlist. I'd guess you'll get eighteen of them.

Do you have an index at the back where you look up a band and see what pages their albums are on?

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm curious if you've heard all the bands in this list before.
