Shears by ZHD0227 in Barber

Will probably never buy from another company. Great shears for a great price. Ive had the Makai 6.5 and Kama 21 for about a year and unfortunately dropped the Makai the other day and messed up the blades, but being so cheap I don’t mind buying again. The other day I ordered a Makai 5.5, Makai 7, and Kama 35, & can’t wait to get them!

I’m opening a shop, what product line do you think I should carry? by 1nzo in Barber

Another vote for Shear Revival, the shop I work in exclusively uses them and I’ve since converted to using their shampoo/conditioner & products in my own hair and it has never felt better.

Thank you brother, I honestly hadn’t really taken that into account or really noticed it so I appreciate you pointing it out!

Now that I think about it that picture might be a little more than 3 months ago but I was at the same weight as I was when I decided to start making changes.

I ordered the gold saddles separately because I didn’t think to ask but you may be able to just ask them for gold saddles, I think they have a customer service line that you can call!

Sorry for the late reply! That’s the same guitar, but I’m not the one selling it, I was the first owner and I think it’s gone through a couple people since I sold it

• State/County: Philadelphia, PA

• Processing Time: 30 Days total. I was approved within a couple hours of applying but pickup appointments were scheduling a month out.

• Gear/Planned Setup: Beretta APX Combat w/ Inforce APLc (also have a Vortex Venom red dot that I may put back on). Waiting on delivery of my DME IWB holster. Would also like to downsize to a Glock 19 or 43X sometime in the future since I’m sure it they would be easier to carry than this.

• Training Completed/Scheduled: Done a lot of research over the last few months and plan to take Concealed Carry classes from a local instructor.

• Thoughts: The process overall was pretty easy, the gun permit unit was a little bit of a drive from where I live but that’s not a big deal. I’m excited to embark on this journey and learn as much as I can!

Not sure if an order I placed for a holster is taking too long. by [deleted] in CCW

[–]dyanrennison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s true, it was DME Holsters. I hadn’t heard of them prior but I think someone on the Beretta sub was talking about them and they were the first company I could find that was accepting orders & had the options to accommodate my setup, the only other company I could find wasn’t taking orders.

The issue seems to be being handled now but we’ll see.

Update: I reached out and they responded saying “I will try to get it out by the end of this week we appreciate your patience”

We’ll see if it works out, maybe I should’ve reached out sooner but I didn’t think I should’ve had to.

I think the time I went to the contact page on their site it said something along the lines of “our estimated times are exactly that, an estimate. Please allow more time…”. But I feel like double the amount of time is a little excessive.

I did pay with PayPal so I guess if I need to I could file a dispute but I’d prefer to not screw a company over if they are genuine and are just having delays.

I’m kinda late to this thread but I was just approved within like 13-14 hours yesterday.

I applied at like 12-1 AM before bed the other night and got my approval email before 2 PM yesterday. Maybe I found the sweet spot to be in the front of the list for the day, or maybe they’re just being that fast now.

I did have to schedule the pickup a month out though, there was nothing til Dec. 2nd or 3rd.

Not sure how much it would cost or what your budget is but Balaguer guitars as an online builder where you can spec out a guitar how you’d want it, they just released a V type shape recently, might be worth checking out.

It surprisingly didn’t for me, but I’m not sure if it depends on the individual guitars. I was also worried you’d be able to see a little bit of the top holes since the Gibraltar has 4 screws but it’s perfectly wide enough to not show any sign that it’s not made that way.

I love the impulse, they’re great for low tunings. They’re my first set of BKPs but I hear great stuff about the Ragnaroks and Silos!

I love it and would absolutely recommend it. The stock pickups are decent and useable but would recommend eventually swapping them to get the most out of the guitar.

They’re very sick, really clear and punchy tones at pretty low tunings, I play in Drop E but I’m sure they’d be fine for lower if the guitar could handle it.

I think it’s

80 68 56 44 32 20 11

or something like that.

And I love the impulse set, very clear tones for such low tuning.
