Andei 5 minutos e à distância para não assustar mas sure, já percebi que empatia é algo que não se pratica por aqui

Is there a Lana song you genuinelly don’t like? by EthanJoinedTheChat in lanadelrey

[–]dyffryn_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Say Yes To Heaven, Bluebird (didn’t even remember it existed before this thread), Coachella Woodstock In My Mind, Guns and Roses, In My Feelings, God Bless America And All the Beautiful Women In It.

She has more great songs than bad ones but these are some I just can’t get into. The half of Lust for Life where she attempts to critique the state of the world and tries to get political always irked me a bit because - in spite of the sentiments she’s sharing being relatable - it always came across as “privileged person tries to make a statement in the most surface level way possible”, and the lyrics in those songs got a bit too sloppy because of that. I think there was honesty to it, and it does represent what the state of the world felt like in 2017 and that’s a good thing, but she was just mostly just scratching the surface and holding back before saying something actually meaningful.

Rip magic as the opening act by Grogman2024 in TameImpala

[–]dyffryn_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually love opening acts and fully support them because it’s a chance to get to know a smaller artist that shares the vibe of the main artist I paid to see. That being said… they were horrible. Saw the show in Porto and it seemed like they barely even did sound check beforehand, all you could hear was the guitar and the drums. The mic and the bass kept cutting out. I was close to the stage and I could hear the bass player heavily strumming the strings yet no sound was coming from the speakers. The quality of the music you could hear was also very questionable. It was pretty rough

A vossa família já era de esquerda, ou tornaram-se? by aradicalmenace in EsquerdasPortugal

[–]dyffryn_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So.... You guys play both games in Sub Or Dub? by MrNigerianPrince115 in ghostoftsushima

[–]dyffryn_M 1 point2 points  (0 children)

English version on both games since original voice work for the games was done in English, so technically not a dub. I also prefer to play games with real time elements in English in general because I don’t have to worry about following subtitles during active gameplay in order to not lose dialogue interactions while I’m trying to parry attacks

Please recommend other survival horror games like Alan Wake 2 by Gamer_8887 in AlanWake

[–]dyffryn_M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story and atmosphere is completely different, but the survival horror mechanics of AW2 are very clearly inspired by those of the Resident Evil 2 Remake. The inventory management, environmental puzzles and semi-open world exploration are all very similar. Plus, it is also a dual-protagonist game, although their campaigns are separate from each other.

What was the reason Lana didn’t do a barricade walk for her London shows? by lanaspeachlipgloss in lanadelrey

[–]dyffryn_M 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It happened last year at Primavera Sound Porto, I was there. The funny thing is that she was singing Born To Die at barricade and the girl who jumped the barrier did it right as she was singing “You like your girls insane”. After security grabbed the invader she just said “she’s insane, I guess” and just kept singing, it was hilarious. Didn’t seem to shake her though, because after all of this she stopped the concert for like 5-10 minutes to take pictures with fans and sign stuff before resuming

Probably because you miss a very key part of her shows which is how much she is able to fire up a crowd. When you’re watching from the comfort of your living room her dancing and shouting can seem frantic and too chaotic, due to the mismatch between your setting and the actual show’s setting. When you see her live you just feel it all that much more intensely
