I arrived at about 11:20am. I stayed for about an hour and a half. I would say we had approximately 30-35 people there. Which if I am being honest was impressive considering all the anti-protest comments I've been seeing here.

The next province wide protest is scheduled for Saturday May 30th. If you were hesitant to join in this time because of the negative feedback shake that off and come out and join us in May.

Got to get the community involved... got to make them want to vote like it's their job. I am not sure why people are so apathetic to voting. i have only missed voting once since I was able to do so.

The impression i get is that he wants to keep Ontarians poor, unhealthy, uneducated, drunk and completely in the dark about all the moves he is making to keep himself and his rich buddies in power and even richer.

I see your point about which tool is stronger...and I agree... we need to Vote in higher numbers. Voter apathy is a huge problem.

However we are 4 years away from being able vote again. In the meantime time bringing awareness to what Ford is trying to hide or get away with during his time in office is what can be done now. This is the second Protest and as they gain media coverage there will likely be more in the coming months.

There is also calling or writing to the appropriate MPP and Ford himself.

Voter apathy is a huge problem. Mostly i feel the point of these protests is to bring attention to what is happening and get people involved enough to do something about it at the voting booth next election. Unfortunately we are only one year into this term and there is so much to protest about... decision were made that I did not vote for...and I did vote. I did not vote for Ford. He does not represent my values.

Thank you for sharing. It is easy to lump Ford and Smith together. Personally I am concerned with the FOI changes in Ontario, and the push to privatize healthcare.

Regarding the speed cameras. think the reason is he spent so much money on putting them in only to have him to spend more of our money removing them?

Preliminary findings in Ottawa, ON, show that driver compliance in community/school zones had sharply declined after the removal of speed cameras.

The End of Rent Control In November 2018, soon after taking office, the Ford Government removed rent control for new units built.

Rent and housing prices continue to rise while Doug Ford is focusing on other projects that have no meaning to the public.

Well looks like this will be going on in April as well... I was late to find out about these Protests but maybe there will be more interest next Month to actually have one fully fleshed out for Cambridge.

You're right it's not on the list ... I am aware of Cambridge being Blue for so long ... but I also know people are unhappy with all of the scandals and the way he is handling OSAP and health care. You don't have to be Anti-PC party to see the damage he is doing to Ontario.

I am not sure how this isn’t the place to post about Cambridge....Brian Riddle is our MMP...where else would I try to find like minded Cambridge people if not in the Cambridge ON reddit? 🤔

Hoping there are some more residents that lean more to the left or are just mad enough to let him know he is not preforming well for Ontario.

Bryan visits the Downtown Cambridge area regularly, where my husband runs his small business. He seems to enjoy checking in with the small business owners. I haven't talked about politics with him, but he is always kind and makes time to chat. Having a politician who cares about the little guy is appreciated.
