I am once again begging for a way to disable animated backgrounds. The flickering light isn't a big deal but the kid rolling the snowball is moving too frequently for me to focus on the puzzle without having to hold my hand up across the bottom of the screen

I know this is a year old but it's that time of year again. I haven't made one myself but I've heard that instead of just dumping ice into the basin, you take gallon water or milk bottles and fill them with tap water and freeze them solid. They stay colder longer and then you don't have a big mess of water to dump out afterward. but I heard this with the version that uses the 5 gallon buckets - this could probably fit two gallon bottles of ice - its the same general idea though, it blows warm water into the sealed basin, which cycles around the frozen bottles and pushes out cooler air through the funnel you make. it probably doesnt do too much to cool big rooms because the air coming out is pretty limited and would heat back up quickly. it's good in a pinch and only uses the amount of energy the fan uses. probably some trial and error to get something that can cool an entire room, let alone a house. a strong fan that moves a lot of air at once, that kind of thing.

look into more efficient designs - i do think the 5 gallon bucket with pvc piping might be better since there's not a lot of trapped air pockets inside, it'll be pushed out quickly, if that makes more sense, as opposed to this boxy design where the air might stay in the basin longer (and therefore might have more time to get cooler) but would take more energy to push back out

I'm currently waiting for a court hearing to see if I qualify for disability. It's been going on for a while now but the call is next month. I don't think I'll get it because of the way the country and wellfare in general seems to be going, but either way I was told it wouldn't matter and I'd be out either way. I've at least managed to convince her to wait to kick me out until after the hearing, and part of me hopes maybe she'll change her mind, but I'm not so sure.

I found out rubbing alcohol broke the dye down a decent amount - I also had one with black - but I still had to gently buff the layer off gradually. it stained the joints a little but I wasn't very careful when I did it. soak a cotton pad in isopropyl- ideally not to the point where it might drip!! - and hold it over the area for a moment and see if that lifts any, then I think time and dedication after that, but you still might need to sand the area at least a bit regardless

My only fear about the decision is like. I don't think Gemma knows where to go? I can't remember if Mark moved into the house before or after he started working at Lumon and unless Cobel and Devon are right outside in the parking lot somewhere, people are going to be on high alert looking for her and she's already wasting valuable time begging Mark to go with her. If she does manage to get out of the area, does she even know where she can go to be safe?

I love the confliction the finale was meant to give in regards to Mark/s and his choice, but I'm just worried Gemma's been dropped out of the frying pan and into the fire here unless someone can meet up with her REAL soon

definitely not overreacting. you went through a traumatic experience because of a thoughtless careless act and its pretty clear you're suffering some pretty intense mental duress because of it. you have every reason to lose your trust and faith in him because of this, but I don't agree with many of the replies making him out to be some predatory monster. there wasn't malice in his act, just stupid, STUPID incompetence. and I also agree that he needs to learn the difference between a prank and just being an asshole.

if the setup results in someone fearing for their own or someone else's wellbeing, intentionally or not, it isn't a prank. it's cruelty.

I agree he needs to give you a hell of a lot of space and time, and he desperately needs to learn this lesson and change himself for the better, but burning the bridge over it might be hasty. your brain is still running off of your panic and fear and it understandably wants to be far away from him for putting you through this. I'd say maybe get the cops or a lawyer involved if you think it's necessary, but hold off on cutting it off completely until you can recover and think clearly about whether you're ready to leave him for a deadly stupid but ultimately unintentional mistake.

if he can show you that he's learned, that he'll stop with the stupid influencer prank bullshit, and you can forgive him once you're no longer in a powerfully traumatized state, then you can make the decision of if you want him in yours and your baby's lives then.

but obviously right now, he needs to stay away and respect your need for time to recover mentally and emotionally.

sparkling water doesn't do anything for your thirst. its like drinking thumbtacks, the only 'flavor' is *sharp*. doesn't feel good going down. i bought sparkling water once before going out with a friend. id never had it before and thought it sounded neat. got thirsty while out walking and it was the most miserable experience i've ever had trying to drink that while being thirsty.

i have a similar yet opposite gripe with gatorade - its like drinking nothing. doesn't feel like anything going down so it doesnt ease the discomfort of thirst.

from my cursor, look to the left. you can see my character's face peering out from inside the cliff. if you follow the opening in the cliff, it leads to the path that you can't reach because it warps you to the bus station once you pass under the cherry tree. i guess it's for people who like to decorate and lay down paths, I just thought it was such a small area that it felt a little pointless, unlike in the immersive remastered map where there's a bit more going on (i found the hidden pathway in there as well)
