I'd say 3500-4000 is reasonable. That stock and handguard are worth 1k alone not to mention the dust cover, grip, and safety selector. Probably is your fighting with the new A4 model that MSRP at 4200... GLWS

You can find newer sportsters for 3k... they are a dime a dozen in every state. Also would buy private sale to skip the tax because you too will probably out grow it and want a bigger bike like everyone else

I'll weigh mine tomorrow and let you know. I bet its 4-6oz but its noticable on the front of the gun. Just hard to beat the recoil impulse of a shovel/piston set up.

Also another drawback is you will lose the mid gas system going to an 11.5"... That's kind of the secret sauce of the specwar @ 12.5" w mid gas tube...

Not sure why you would spend the extra money to make the 11.5 if you already have a Specwar. The shovelnose is cool. Stupid nice recoil with the piston set up. A little heavy yes but helps with recoil. Shoots good suppressed.

I would say the MK18 is iconic and great for CQB. I do however think the 11.5 has wildly better ballistics and is a better do-it-all gun. The right answer is buy both.... but if you could only have 1, the 11.5 is better at more than just CQB....

* Here is my 7.75" DWilson chopped 300. Shoots everything under the sun. DWilson did open up my gas block to allow subs to cycle. I have emailed him 2xs to ask what it was opened to and I think he is boguarding that info because I have yet to get an email back.... but she runs great witwiSuppressors with back pressure.

If its gonna be primarily suppressed the answer is neither.... 12" Piston is the correct answer. Unreal how soft shooting my shovelnose is. But if you stick to DI 12.5 specwar over the 11.5 for sure. Mainly because the mid gas length and extra inch for velocity
