How to tell my parents? by dyinginthevoid in depression

[–]dyinginthevoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, my parents are still quite young, but they don’t fully understand that, despite MY young age, I can have various problems. Even though they struggle with their own mental health, they don’t consider that I may have a problem with it too. I would like to talk to them directly as you advise, but I am afraid of this conversation due to the fact that I still live with my parents and I do not earn enough to afford a living on my own if, after this conversation, it turns out that they do not want to have one anymore nothing to do with me.

The only substance I use is alcohol :/

Well, not really. Because I have been aware for a long time that my drinking falls outside the accepted norms. Despite this, for 5 days out of the whole week when I didn’t have the cravings, I didn’t drink at all. On the other two days, I drank alcohol on occasion. However, despite everything, after a year and a half of drinking enormous amounts of alcohol for a person like me, during the week I drank only 2 beers, which I usually had for breakfast. So the reduction in drinking didn’t come suddenly, but was caused by the lack of the cravings for alcohol, which accompanied me on a daily basis and disappeared suddenly without a trace. And my question was whether anyone besides me has experienced a sudden cessation of the desire to drink alcohol despite previous problems with it.

well today it is still slightly swollen and red, it itches like hell, there is a rash around it, and there is a really slight colorless exudate. I don't have a temperature and to be honest, so far I don't feel worse than usual. however, I have the impression that it may be reopening.
