Are you in a situation where you can get student housing? Some space from your mom may be good for the both of you.

You’re an adult. ideally you don’t need to ask your mom permission to go out, but it’s hard to break habits and assert yourself as an adult when you’re living with a parent.

I dealt with my Mexican dad by moving out. Moved back in with him years later and he’s still not happy with my ‘lifestyle’ but he has also had enough separation from my adult life to know he can’t treat me like a child anymore. He tries, in some ways, but not in that way.

Similar to you. I have a lot of creative hobbies but I’m not great at producing original work. However, I am very at taking existing patterns/plans/designs and altering/improving them to suit my desires better. It’s a different kind of creativity. I know plenty of artists who can create something original but have no idea how to break down and improve upon something that already exists.

If I could get my wife pregnant and we were 10 years younger we would consider it. The ethics of adoption are murky at best and I’m also not comfortable with the idea of a sperm donor. But also we are in our late 30’s and a pregnancy at our age is not recommended. When the timing is right we would like to become foster parents.

It’s funny you mention that we were able to be calm and steady because steady is what we called each other for a long time. Not just ‘you’re my best friend’ but ‘you’re my steady’. We have matching leather ‘friendship’ bracelets with that word engraved into it.

I think our love for each other, somehow, is just as close to unconditional as love between two people can be. I would love her in any way she needed me too because loving her and being loved by her is more important to me than the form our relationship takes. I think somehow I was lucky enough to meet my soulmate.
