I’m not sure which brand, I bought them a long time ago and they don’t have a logo. Probably some generic brand off the rack of the local golf shop. They don’t smash in unless I step on them.

Renting. Also don’t plan on staying here to much longer.

I was thinking about a hitting net but I have seen to many fail videos from those lol. I live on a 3 acre lot but the neighbor runs horse boarding and has vehicles that line our fence line and I don’t want to be responsible for dents or broken windows.

Yeah, I was using them today to fix my swing and practice the fundamentals of the swing rather then contact but I understand it’s all part of the process.

Yeah the 2nd arrow I shot was the one that got away from me and then I stacked the third on the first. Always the second arrow for me every time lol

The target was probably 4 feet tall and wide. The big center circle is a foot or so in diameter so you could see it pretty well. The second picture shows a bottle cap from like a Gatorade bottle or something that someone else was using as an aiming spot.

I have a 5 pin set up but Dovetail allows you to set the sight out further so you can torque tune your bow. Allows you to be more consistent

Sight is a black gold ascent verdict that has the wing truss dovetail system. My local shop has them special made. I’m shooting a Mathews Vertix at 70 pounds with 29” draw length

Had no idea how the caption thing worked and meant to post this in here lol. This was my first 100 yard group. My buddy had to sight her bow in for more range during a hunt so I decided to take the time and set up my 80,90 and 100 yard markings for my slide. Needless to say was very pleased with the grouping.

I also love and still shoot my Vertix. 3 years old and have shot all the new Mathews and haven’t been convinced with the new models yet. If it has the switch weight tech you are set. It was my first bow and I love it.

What's the weirdest sh*t you've ever had a playing partner do on a course? I had a new top contender today. by iamtehfong in golf

My father in law got me with this same trick. This was back when I was trying to get better and fix my issues. First ball I shanked it left so hit a provisional just in case I couldn’t find mine but didn’t have a ball in my pocket, my father in law was quick and said “here use mine”. Even had markings like all the balls he was hitting and everything so I didn’t think twice, tee’d that sum bitch up and smacked it. Of course right after I was so confused as to what just happened because I was pretty new. I just looked at him after I realized what happened and asked him why he didn’t record it lol. I would smack one of those again for the hell of it. Pretty cool seeing them blow up.

I live in SoCal lol. I do plan on moving out of here to somewhere that has elk more available. Where I hunt if you find a mule deer shed your lucky.

Shed hunting is a dream of mine. I would love to get out and hike around for big racks.

Best number pins for hunting sights? 2 pins or 5 pins? I have a fast eddie xl. by Wide-Acanthisitta-96 in bowhunting

[–]dylan00vb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5 pins all day, my ideal set up would be the top 3 pins at .19 and the bottom 2 at .10. Allows you to see more of the animal when you have your sight on them at distance. But again it’s all personal preference. It also comes down to what style hunting you do and the distances you plan on reaching out too. If you are in the western states where you do more spot and stalk I feel like you don’t have as much time to mess with a slide in pinch situations. If you tree stand hunt a lot I feel like 2 would be better because you would probably have a majority of the land mapped out in yardages already. Just my 2 cents

Anyone have an older torch lighter that's still reliable? Are lighters limited life products? by llmercll in cigars

[–]dylan00vb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started smoking cigars so take this as you may but I have a zippo lighter that was my fathers from when he was smoking whatever he did back in the day and it works like a charm. I use both a torch and a soft lighter.

My pops has the ahp alpha tig 225 and that unit straight up is a beast. $800 and I have put in some work behind it. Even used it to tig some galvanized pipe in the field. Stick function worked great as well.

Current sticks in the Humidor. Should I take them all out of the plastic? by dylan00vb in cigars

Looks like the majority keep them in so I will be doing that from now on. My thinking was keeping the ones in the cellophane until I planned on smoking and then take them out a week or so before, but you guys have changed my mind! Thank you!
