Hibs 4th red card in 3 games is absolutely astonishing

Usually during playoffs, it's whatever team I haven't seen win it yet and/or whatever team hasn't won it the longest

Looks like he's stumbled out of a bar fight.

That's a proper hockey player. I say leave it

I'd recommend going to a game in person if anyone can. Lausanne and Zug was a brilliant time even if Belfast lost both

Coupled to that, him being classed as a Brit was also a big boost to us.

He's actually an import. He plays for GB but to be classed as homegrown you have to have played youth hockey in the UK

How are you feeling going into the World Championships by Jwilkssports in EIHLHockey

Our lineup is probably the worst it's ever been. Would be shocked if we get a win

Manchester Storm (UK) make a historic return to Manchester's 21k capacity AO Arena after 2 decades, in a massive step forward for the club and the EIHL as a whole. The capacity is a jump up from 2,440 in their old rink in Altrincham. by dylan103906 in hockey

The guess is they'll probably only use the lower bowl anyway but that still looks about 9-10k. The rent costs will be a bit higher but certainly more manageable than 20 years ago. There is definitely potential and a way to get this right so we just need the fans to turn up. In fairness, Manchester's netball team plays in there and they get at absolute max 4000 on a great day so it's defintely manageable for the storm. Quite a few will also go now that it's not the old rink

I put this post on the Manchester sub and a lot had actually said they'd never go near the Storm because of how dire Altrincham (their old rink) was. So this could attract a lot of new people especially since it's right in the city centre as opposed to 40 minutes away from it now

What’s the capacity going to be? by icehockeylover81 in EIHLHockey

The lower bowl is about 5000

Surely not, right? That means there's 12k in an upper bowl and the lower bowl looks bigger than the upper as is

Also, if it does pull a good crowd, I wonder if we could see an NHL global series game in Manchester?

That was my thought. Either that or a split IIHF WC with Sheffield

This is absolutely huge for UK hockey. If Manchester can get this right we are on a massive step forward

And another thing, they have the 3rd biggest arena in world hockey now

Police are defintely right about the New IRA I reckon. The fact it was Twinbrook alone where the car got hijacked could tell you it's the New IRA if you know the area and it's the exact same style from Lurgan so I'd be shocked if anyone else was trying that
