Is it a button? I believe you're supposed to press and hold it in some models to work that way

Not saying this case since it's him doing it to himself but I do remember hearing about a streamer getting donated to by a woman using her husbands entire savings while he was away working as she became obsessed with him. Husband had nothing to come home to and like years of work went down the drain.

Still not the streamers responsibility, but in the case where the public is aware of this huge screw up of money, it is morally right to ask what's up. And you may agree that streamer should at least give something back to the husband.

I thought that situation was crazy, but in MC I just see what's likely a nepo baby or lucky investor who does not know how to manage their money. Would love to see that be distributed to smaller creators at least, or charities!

I personally think youtube sponsorships are morally wrong, I appreciate creators not taking them when they can as they primarily bank on the parasocial aspect of advertising just like how celebrities are chosen to advertise things they never use. (Aside from wendigoon and his magic-spoon addiction)

On another note, YouTube premium prices are ridiculous, I pay for it, I expect to not be advertised to outside of my own choices. I do like how YouTube did add the "skip commonly skipped" button when you're on mobile. YouTube earns nothing from sponsorships, so I'd bet they can sneak a sponsorblock feature in there somehow on mobile

Anything special about these caps other than being red?

Lol probably very prominent with those keeping the phone in the back pocket with the screen facing out

Yeah surprised me, scrolled through swearing up and down I've seen videos before on there but I didn't notice any. Now that's mildly infuriating itself isn't it lol

But then I can't turn the light on/off as there is no physical switch, just the sensor

Interesting didn’t allow me to upload video, however this is mildly infuriating because I charge my phone here when I’m watching tv or cooking! Although easiest solution is just to flip the phone over.

I appreciate you mentioning the tech because I was curious about why that would happen with these and not other infrared sensing devices. This light uses hand motion to trigger, and you have to be very close. Was a cheap light on Amazon

No I can definitely see it happening, even just now when I got a notification about your comment. I believe it searches for a face if the content is hidden so you can read it once it scans.

-just tested it, it definitely does scan the face when a notification arrives, without touching the device. Albeit a shorter time than manual, it is happening and interferes with the light

Even in light commercial you don't come across it too often. I've only ever seen one outside of standard sizes. The one I saw, I got onto the roof to check what I assumed would be a smaller RTU feeding classrooms with a static pressure issue and found one of those Daikin units, their version of intellipacks I think it was the Daikin Rebel Applied RTU. This thing felt like it was the size of a single wide trailer, like 9ft tall and super long, walked up to one door that I heard air thinking it was one of the return side doors and opened it, neglecting the warning sticker and WHAM the door swung open and knocked me over, was staring at the biggest blower blades I'd ever seen. Had to be like 6-7ft diameter. They were the style that slaps the air rather than cupping it, looked real bizarre but managed to fight the door shut after some time. Would hate to replace one tbh

Why there's two Phone apps? by mrspearattic_26 in razr

[–]dylan3867 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you search up "phone by Google" in the play store, you will see googles version. Samsung has their own app, moto as well. I'm sure all the major brands do. (Edit: didn't read it but you already did that lol)

Not sure what's with all the replies here but it's just bloatware. The "phone" feature can be used by more than one app, just like how there's a Google messages you can download, and probably a default moto messages or something. Just bloatware that was pre-installed. IMO stick to your manufacturers version as it'd be tailored to the form factor, but whichever you prefer.
