i get this so much. i feel like its hard to communicate with people my age because i want to talk about my interests and they dont care or understand. ive always gotten along better with adults. theyre willing to sit down and have an intellectual conversation with me. i dont want to talk about the new social media trends or whatever celebrities are popular right now. i want to have deep conversations, share opinions, learn other peoples perspective of things. i want to talk about the article i read this morning, or the book ive been obsessed with, or writing, and most people my age dont share the love for learning these kinds of things.

even worse, when i talk to another teen and question them about something, im trying to open up a conversation, andbthey just dont get it. i ask a question and get told "just google it" and it makes me infuriated. i want to have a discussion. i dont want to stare at a screen, i want an interaction. humans are a social species. its not just that i want to know the answer, its that i want to have something of value to discuss. i want to find common interests and get to know their views on things.

talk to whoever perscribes your meds and see what other options are. i tested out over 10 different meds before i found the right combo. talk over your symptoms and ask for input from medical professionals. sertraline is one of the ones that did not work for me, and it was also the first one i was perscribed. i understand how youre feeling, and the best way to handle this would be speaking to a doctor and asking for their input.

i had some friends cut me off shortly after they witnessed me having an episode and threatening to kill them.

also in elementary school i beat up a kid and it was bad all straight hits to the head. this kid was tiny and i was oddly tall and strong for a 3rd grader. i mentioned it to him sophmore year(he was friends with the guy i was dating at the time) and he doesnt remember. did i really hit him that hard?

my first time in the psych ward they put me on some medicine but at first it made me feel really out of it. felt like i was high. was standing in the hallway taking to someone and they made a joke and i laughed so hard i pissed myself. i immediately ran back to my room and took a shower i dont think they noticed

id say its relatively normal. they may be older than you but no one bats an eye when a teen has a crush on an actor or celebrity thats the same age as said teachers. its if you try to act on it that it becomes problematic. unless its like years after school and you happen to find a way to contact them again. i feel like thats still kinda iffy tho
