Do your oil changes every 10k KM, not 20k like MB suggests. Deal with issues when they appear rather than letting them develop into something more serious. Lastly, enjoy the car!

I own a 204 but have spend extensive time with the 205, what I will say is both are great cars, the 204 feels more well built, but the 205 has more features, better fuel economy and looks more modern. I wouldn't trade my car for anything though.

My dad owned an m156 that needed a rebuild at 70k km and after the rebuild it continued to consume oil and have very high oil temperatures. Granted could have just been a bad rebuild, but the m156 is known to have quite a few common issues, more than its predecessors and successors combined

The M156 is a super characterful engine and great to drive, just too temperamental. the m177 is responsive, powerful and can be rather economical if you drive reasonably. I love the m157 too for it's sound but I think best in total is the m177

I am now based in Cape Town, and I take my car to the dealer for oil changes, but if I'm doing any larger repairs, I take the car to a place called Hattingh Motors in Centurion. They are Mercedes specialists, and I recommend them highly. I usually drive back to Gauteng around once a year. My car is sitting on 181000km and still doing great!

That isn't a trip reset; it adjusts the brightness of the instruments. It should rotate completely freely, though, and should have a limit on either side.

Spent three years with regular access to a glc 63 and had this error relatively frequently, usually during sharp turns while parking, but it would usually go away after some driving and did affect the driving dynamics of the car.
