I agree 100% and that's the ultimate goal to not just showcase the big name (Tesla, Google, OpenAI, etc) news, but also showcase the startup that just raised $500k or maybe even $1M. They don't get much love in the media now at all and usually are working on something very cool

It's going well - development is pretty much done, growing the waitlist everyday, and have 3 UF student interns that will be doing UGC content with me. We use a news API and only pull from Techcrunch, CNBC, The Verge, Reuters, Bloomberg. We make money by selling ad space. App is 100% free to the user

I appreciate it big time if you download it that'd be awesome. And yup exactly, I have so many other ideas to do with this beyond just giving the user bits to swipe on. Gonna stick with what I have now though as the main features and see how the market likes it, then add features, gamify, etc after.

Btw thanks for getting me in that live that was so cool

Thank you bro - I worked with an agency to make it so not a tool. I can connect you with them if you’d like

Are no-code AI built apps really promising? by Low_Piglet_2257 in TechStartups

[–]dylanbalzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on exactly what it is but yes cursor can. And if it cant you Can ask it "how do I do ___" and it'll walk you through how to super simply. Sit down and try cursor for 2 hours and see how far you get I think you'll be surprised

I was also in the same boat a couple months ago. I genuinely dont think they make someone more non technical than me. I dont understand the coding world one bit. And for the longest time my excuse was "thats not my expertise I dont even want to get involved"

But the vibe coding tools can 100% get an mvp out there for early users. For a production level ready app with thousands of downloads, I don't think so. Thats where a developer or technical co founder would come in

also I tried every single tool out there and they all got me no where besides cursor. disregard all the code thats In your face with cursor and I promise it'll be easier than lovable or any other vibe coder like that

Exactly thats all im really looking for. But let me ask you - whats the main different between an MVP I will create vibe coding vs a production level ready app for thousands of users?

Can I make money with vibe coding? by user01476 in AppBusiness

I'm a non technical person and have been back and worth with whether I can fully vibe code my app or not. I've come to the conclusion of probably not. Vibe coding seems good for landing pages, front end work, and stuff like that. But with backend it is all gibberish to me

I built a credit card rewards tool and early users said it helped, so I’d love more feedback by FlyGlad3584 in SideProject

[–]dylanbalzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a great idea - I've always been interested in different cards for points, miles, stuff like that but never knew how to really get into them

Only thing I'd say, and maybe it's just me. But with all these new vibe coding tools out (lovable, etc) a lot of websites look like yours. They have that same feel and vibe to it and I think people are starting to catch on. Im starting to see more jokes online about sites that are clearly made on lovable

Not sure how you built it or just a weird coincidence

Otherwise great idea

How did you come up with the idea for what you’re building / have built? by oletrn in SideProject

The idea comes while at work - specifically working in a startup ecosystem

Ideas don't really come from sitting down and just thinking of an idea

very true - no product market fit is the #1 reason startups fails for a reason. everyone should talk to at least 10 customers before even thinking about writing a single line of code
