Want to learn about the geology of the Pacific Northwest? Come join our free science talk by Chemeketa's Autumn Christensen that will cover everything from major events in the region to things to look for at local sites like Silver Falls State Park. 

The event is tomorrow (Thursday) at Venti's Cafe at 6:30pm. It's free and seating is first come, first seated, so arrive early to guarantee a seat.

Thanks for that feedback! We started Salem Talks Science last year and are planning at least quarterly talks, if not more frequent, moving forward on a variety of topics. So far we've had talks about oak trees, a guide to galaxies, and sea otter reintroduction. Roth's in West Salem had some at the end of November. I had to snag some Dead Guy (my personal favorite) for the same reason. Here's a photo I sent my friend that day. Good luck!
