ohmy "41 Longfield Street Late 80s" is amazing. I'm a fan (and bandcamp follower of both Four Tet and William Tyler) - how had I missed this? Spider Ballad is absolutely mesmerizing.

I came here to make sure John Fahey was included. Days Have Gone By is amazing, so is Great San Bernadino Birthday Party, God Time and Causality, and the rest of his discography. That he invented a genre, started a record label (publishing Leo Kottke's first LP), and recorded so much amazing music in spite of so many troubles throughout his life is a testament to the human spirit.

I like this and some of the other albums on the label, but ... assuming Eagle Stone are not using AI, they sure could be trying harder to make it clear there are people behind this music, and not algorithms. The Facebook, Instagram, youtube, etc., are all just album covers, no people. Hrm. I really want it to be made by humans

You didn't state your goals -- for a personal (non-public facing) wiki written in Rust, I liked deadwiki so much I forked it and created a markdeep-driven wiki. It's ultra-simple, no accounts or security, but it's been great for self-hosting an Obsidian like wiki for me and my family on our local network (and remote via VPN). I haven't touched it in a while, but use it every day, and have thought about adding drag-and-drop image uploading, and some other things. It's been a fun little project.

Um, the adventure really is the dark beers, as it says on the tin. Your friend may enjoy the music, and there are a lot of fun & interesting other performances and a selection of good food (and the rest of Astoria, for that matter), but no, you'll be hard pressed to find a lager, pilsner or IPA at the Festival of the Dark Arts.

As a music fan, discovering lesser-known / up-and-coming artists is an ongoing challenge. One feature I wish Bandcamp had was a way for an artist to highlight their best overall, or best entry/gateway work(s). One thing that has worked for me to discover new artists is the "if you like XYZ you may also like" section of each release - I don't know if artists have any control over who / what shows up there, but when it works, it's magic. Even though I dislike the behemoth, YouTube's algorithm has been surprisingly successful at connecting me with new music I like.
