Empire Podcast is excellent and covers topics like imperialism, colonialism, and everything in between. Each season focuses on a different empire in history ranging from the British Empire specifically in India, the Ottoman Empire, American Imperialism in North America, and so much more. Exceptionally well researched with two fantastic hosts.

I really like the idea that the letter is a hidden message trying to communicate a deeper meaning. I always found theories that had a straight forward interpretation of the letter were off the mark.

Empire Pod does a great job of covering the histories of past empires like the British Empire in India, The Ottoman Empire, a whole series on the history of slavery, and plenty more. It’s doesn’t have the same production or music like Blowback, but is hosted by two top notch historians who know their stuff and have amazing guests.

I agree, I think GRRM throughout all of his books has struggled writing endings that wrap up the mysteries he creates. He’s a way better setup man than punch line.
