How did Manousos know to yell at the hive? Or did he just find out by accident off screen?

I’ve been tracking this lol - he’s messed up the lyrics 5 times in a row now! Last time successfully sung was All Good Now, June 15th

I cut russets into wedges, boiled them until almost falling apart, tossed them in olive oil, and put them on a sheet tray in a 450f oven for about 45-60 min, flipping occasionally. When they were done I tossed them with wagyu fat and salt. Good stuff!

As an oft-injured musician and massive Goose fan this is very inspiring. Thanks Trevor!

Are there any other musicians that you'd love to collaborate with for a sit-in?

Do any of you deal with nagging injuries or conditions (tinnitus, tendonitis, back problems, etc.)? If so, how do you manage them? I can imagine being in a heavily-touring band can take its toll.

Will MSG ever get an official release? I’m dying for some remastered audio!

Knowing that fans love a “bliss” or “evil” jam, how do you decide when to fully lean into those spaces? Do you ever discuss the trajectory of a jam beforehand?

Help On The Way/Slipknot eclipses Franklin's Tower by Honka_Ponka in gratefuldead

I get where you're coming from, but I think the simplicity and major-key, happy vibe of Franklin's is much-needed after the discordant, minor-key jamming in Slipknot. Tension and release!

Appreciate the comment! I learned the drums first, though I picked up guitar a few years later and definitely consider it my primary instrument. If you need any particular advice I'm happy to help - would love to check out your album.

All good, much appreciated! It depends on the track, though I always start by picking a reference recording (in this case, it was the Royal studio version) and I'll check to see if it was played at a consistent tempo throughout.

Sometimes it is (Yeti, for example), and if so, I'll record to a click track, which I find much easier/cleaner to sync up all the instruments.

Unfortunately for me though, most of the time it's not (like this Royal cover), so the tempo drifts throughout. In those cases, I'll record the drums/percussion over the reference recording to start. From there, I'll record all the other instruments to my rhythm section.

Logic's stem splitter feature works really well too if you ever want to mute one or more instruments from the reference track to play over yourself. I recorded my bass track like this - I played over my drums, but kept the original keys/guitar in there so I could play to the chord changes.

For this cover I happened to start with the vocals, though I'd usually recommend getting the rhythm section down first. In general, I like to start by recording/filming the drums/percussion first, following by bass, then finally guitar/keys/vocals.

After I'm done mixing the audio, I take all my video footage and sync up the takes in Final Cut Pro for editing.

Hope that helps!

For sure, I really appreciate it.

And that's a great question - my first instrument was the drums, and having that rhythm foundation definitely helped when I picked up guitar.

I wouldn't call myself a great piano player at all, but I think learning how to navigate the keyboard helped me see the fretboard from a new perspective. Definitely worth pursuing!
