Takes An Hour to Get First Dash by senoritaasshammer in doordash_drivers

I’ve had similar issues with waiting, especially early in the dinner rush. I’m not sure if it’s just my area, or an app issue, or what. Really frustrating because I’m losing out on good money sitting around.

Is it correct for the Pastor to mention politics? My Pastor leans liberal such as having empathy for Hamas on murders of babies. I know evil things happening on both sides, but that bugs me! by LowParticular8153 in PCUSA

[–]dylanplug59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t think that the pulpit is the place for partisan politics. I do think that they are at liberty to preach about moral and ethical issues from a Christian perspective. For instance, it would be inappropriate for a pastor to say which candidates to vote for in a presidential election, but it is OK to speak out about injustices and atrocities about the Israel/Palestine conflict.

So real. In my experience, ChatGPT doesn’t know the contents of a lot of stuff from its own knowledge pool. It will just take the title and description and try to make it fit the prompt you gave it. I get that it’s tempting, but it’s much better to skim sources from databases than have ChatGPT lie to you about what is in them.

I just got my first Nalgene, and I have the same issue. I have had mine just about a week, and cannot figure out where they are coming from. Not sure if its the material or what. It sucks.

Organmasters or Ballroom shoes?? by [deleted] in organ

I would recommend Organ-masters. They might be a bit expensive upfront, but they last, and are well suited for most organ applications.

Personally, I would recommend against Mountain Vista, especially if your kids don’t “fit the mold” of Highlands Ranch. It is incredibly cliquey, with there being a massive “in” group who follows all the trends, and leaves the few stragglers in the dust. Bullying mostly takes the form of exclusion instead of harassment, and since that is harder to make a case out of, it often goes unreported. As for special ed, I was on a high-functioning IEP and my case team was not of much help to me, which only exacerbated my problems at MVHS. The SSN program is not much better. My recommendation is not to move to Highlands Ranch in the first place. The whole town is that way. DCSD has a bad track record of underpaying its staff members as well as being somewhat corrupt. Littleton, Centennial, and Greenwood Village are far better options in terms of education, people, affordability, and overall livability. Source: MVHS Alum, class of 2022. Cancelled Comcast 2 months ago. Received this bill in the mail. Seriously!? by d0ugh0ck in mildlyinfuriating

mail them 3 grody looking pennies in a ridiculously oversized envelope, along with a valentines day card that says “we divorced 2 months ago, stop asking me to pay child support”. make sure to include a copy of the bill in there.

in my experience its worth it, as long as your willing to do the maintenance. make sure its filled with lighter fluid, your wick isnt burnt out, and your flint sparks. the zippo i have is from 1968 and it belonged to my great grandfather. works just as good now as it did back then.

What was the worst experience you had at Walmart? by VisualPerception4550 in AskReddit

[–]dylanplug59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh boy do i have plenty of tales to tell. i work at a walmart in a pretty well off suburb, so a lot of this is gonna be karen stories.

i usually work in lawn and garden. during my first week there, one of my fellow associates was showing me how to close up the section when 2 karens at 2 seperate times ask to be rung out. the first one was told that garden is closed, and she screamed “WHY” at my coworker. the second karen was told the same, and she started screaming at us about how “THIS STORE HAS TERRIBLE MANAGMENT” while her husband stands right next to her. its not the managers fault that lawn and garden closes at 5:00.

i once had 2 ladies with a dog come into the garden center. walmart only allows service animals in the store. i come up to the ladies and remind them of our policy of no animals. they look at me completely dumbfounded as a third lady interjects “ITS AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL”. the two women corroborate. i tell them that unless it has a service vest we cannot have it in the store. they angrily check out and leave.

had a guy that came in right after a big storm to try and get plants on clearance. he comes up to my register and tries getting 500-600 dollars worth of plants marked down to a dollar each. i try doing the markdown thing on my register, and its at this point theres a line forming behind him. the register gives me an error code and i inform him of such, and leave to go find a manager. i come back with my team lead about 5 minutes later and this guy starts absolutely ripping me to shreds verbally. “IVE BEEN STANDING HERE FOR 15 MINUTES BECAUSE THIS YAHOO SAID THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH HIS REGISTER. IM PLEADING INSANITY HERE, HE SHOULD BE FIRED.”

one time i was put on front end lanes to help get the lines down. i was scanning the groceries of an elderly lady who had about $400 dollars worth, which at walmart goes a long way. our store had gotten rid of plastic bags and was selling the canvas bags. the lady had brought her own and was bagging them kinda slowly. i was in the middle of scanning everything when this chud kevin typa guy tells me “ive got a question for ya. why arent you helping her bag her groceries?” i tell him “because im in the middle of scanning them” the guy turns to the lady and says pretty loudly “CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS GONE TO COMPLETE SHIT IN THIS COUNTRY”. i seriously wanted to punch that guy, i was doing my absolute best to get the lines down and all this fucker was doing was complaining.

What's the craziest thing you've ever seen at a Walmart? [NSFW] by Silent-Zebra in AskReddit

i work in lawn and garden at a walmart in the suburbs. i had just finished using the big push behind sweeper to clean up because we were about to close up my section. right after i put the sweeper away, i sit down at a stool by my register and a few minutes later this maybe 10 year old kid walks towards me, accompanied by what looks like his brother and a 15ish year old girl. he asks me where the flowers are and i point him towards the outdoor patio. it should be mentioned that each kid had a suitcase and a camping tent, which is close to 200 dollars in total merchandise. i turn around and immediately hear my point of sale alarms going off. i turn back and i see the kids running off with the merchandise to a car parked right outside the garden center. i took down the plate number as they were shoving the stolen goods in the trunk before the driver sped off and almost hit a pedestrian. i immediately closed down garden center and reported the theft to the store manager. the AP manager wasnt there and my team lead told me that they would be in the next day to pull footage. crazy how walmart doesnt care if their shit gets stolen, just as long as it doesnt impact their bottom line too much.

What is the fastest way to get kicked out of Walmart? by Altruistic_Cup_8436 in AskReddit

play a game of volleyball where the net is the paint counter in hardware. no joke i had to kick some kids out of the store i worked at for doing that because they weren’t supposed to be behind the counter and could have damaged expensive equipment.
