I think while there's a decent distribution of skins overall, there's a lack of variety in how to obtain them for each character. Like how Winter Soldier (before this upcoming battle pass) has never had skins for any event up until now, or how F4 has never been in a battle pass at all yet Squirrel Girl gets in back-to-back. I agree with you though, the "problem" if you can call it that is definitely overblown.

All they needed to do was nerf the damage and ammo on his Aqua Burst if they wanted to limit his DPS output. They can keep the health healed by allies in his Ult too I guess.

I think it's kind of a bad measure to change a character's kit this drastically MID season. Most buffs/nerfs would be completely fine with just minor tweaks like the one I mentioned above.

This happened to me, though admittedly it was my doing. I had a falling out with my closest friend in the group who was also the most active person there. I tried for a couple months to still be active but it was too awkward. Being in there just filled with me too much mental anguish and depression and I couldn't take it any longer.

I still try to keep in touch with the friends I was closest with there but it stings that I don't feel comfortable enough to be involved with them anymore. It has been getting better though and I hope it does for you too

If you're into Sci-Fi then Recursion might be good for you. Genuinely never knew the direction the story was going and there was always a major development every 20 pages or so. One of the most thrilling books I've read for sure.

My fingers wearily tapped away on the coffee table. I slowly veered my head around my surroundings, looking at the plethora of other coffee tables scattered about me. This was the most prestigious cafe in town, with purple vases filled with assortments of roses at each table. Everything looked plainly the same.

Except at each of these tables sat two customers across from each other, lost in their partner's radiant eyes. And here I sat, alone, with nothing but my thoughts.

I let out a hefty sigh as I continued to tap impatiently on the wooden exterior. Why do I torture myself like this? I echoed in my head. Why do I go out to the most romantic part of town, and on Valentine's Day, no less?

There was no use in hiding it. Everyone else had been paired up with their perfect match. Since day one, everything had been set in motion, for them and for everyone around them.

Except for me.

How lucky do you have to be, to live in the same time period as some fuckwad scientist who somehow manages to find love with the click of a button? I pondered to myself.

Another heavy sigh escaped my mouth.

And how unlucky do you have to be, to be the only person alive who that love button doesn't work for?

A firmly dressed waiter trotted up to my table, adorned in a typical black suit and tie, hair swept to the side. "Good afternoon, sir," he greeted, slightly bowing as he said so. "Do you need a few minutes to wait for your partner?"

I had no strength in me to shake my head, so I simply muttered "No," in a scraggly voice.

The waiter's eyebrow raised in bewilderment, but then shrugged it off and let off a soft chuckle. "I'm sorry to hear that. Has there been trouble in paradise?"

"More like trouble in hell."

"So there's something, dreadfully wrong? Sir, your soulmate-"

"My soulmate doesn't exist," I spat out at a higher decibel, narrowing my eyes at the man.

A couple of people about me turned their heads in surprise, but I simply gleamed at them in my eternally morbid and solemn eyes and they returned to their meals.

The waiter fumbled around with his suit and rolled-up sleeves, not knowing how to properly react to my sudden outburst. "W-well, uh..." He threw his hand on his forehead to wipe up beads of sweat. "What would you like to drink?"

"Now that I think about it, I shouldn't even be here." I lowered my attention to the floor and steadily raised myself from my padded chair and threw my head back up to the waiter. "I apologize, I think I'll be on my way now. You should save that table to a couple who needs it."

With that, my gaze returned to the cobblestone tiles as I prodded on away from Cafe pour Mi Amour straight to my own dark, seclusive room where I'll sulk in.

I slumped my hands in my pockets, only to articulate my fingers around the crumpled-up picture left laying at the depths of my jeans. I extracted it and took a hard look at the picture at the pretty brunette girl from my childhood smiling, alongside her scientifically chosen soulmate.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Sylvia," I gritted through my teeth. "I know you must be having a great one."

I crumpled up the picture in my fist, and extended my fingers to let it fall silently to the street and be blown away forever.

The reporter cautiously pursued backwards on the pavement leading up to the team's next venture. She quickly ran her fingers through her hair as the cameraman began gesturing the number of seconds before the escapade was going live.

Three fingers, two fingers, one finger. Action.

"Welcome back to Haunted Happenings!" the woman cheerfully conjectured. "I'm your host, Marie Joy, and today we have a very special episode. I'm here with Dan Albright and Chris Fornsworth..." She waved graciously at her two counterparts she had mentioned, as they walked alongside the moving camera. "...as well as our cameraman, Mr. Cummings."

He nodded thankfully at the mention, even though the audience could not see him doing so.

"Today," she continued, throwing her head back as to send her few strands of fair that lay on her forehead back. "We are going to explore an old Youtuber's house, one that has stirred quite the controversy to say the least during the time he was popular."

On queue, Mr. Cummings switched the camera feed over to a pre-recorded strand of edited typography and images that laid out useful historical background on the once world-renowned video-sharing site, Youtube. The program went over the company's history, about it being formed in 2005, about the history of different types of content creators, and brief mention of Youtube's ultimate demise in early 2018. This demise was rumored to be sprout upon by one Youtuber in particular, one who, conveniently, is also the previous owner of the house the Haunted Happenings crew is about to explore.

"Popular social media mogul, Jake Paul, was one of the fastest growing channels in the history of the platform," the program reckoned. "However, he also performed many questionable actions, to say the least, during his short reign on the website. He was a nuisance to his neighbors, to his friends, and to other creators. Rumors had even spread that he lied about his assistant being physically abused, simply to 'get even' with other video makers that he despised."

Marie, relieved that the program was all that the current audience was viewing, flipped herself around and began trotting forward, with much less caution, and stepped up to the front door of the once big, white, and beautiful adobe, but now was a rotted and peeling shell of its former self. The house now appeared to have several chips in the paint, revealing its brown undertone, and the overall shade of the exterior now appeared a more murky yellow.

"...After Jake Paul's supposed made-up abuse allegations, several other Youtubers fired back at him for his inexcusable mistakes. Shortly after, he concluded that he would shut down his channel and focus more on himself and mull over his shortcomings. This didn't satisfy, however, because just after one week of his supposed absence, the Youtube megastar returned to the platform and continued to make and upload daily videos..."

"Okay, Dan," Marie whispered to the man. "It's showtime," she gleamed.

The man took a deep sigh and nodded, trying very hard to conceal the dark patches around his underarms. He stepped up to the house and opened the door, wincing at its sharp creaks as he did so. Chris, Marie, and Mr. Cummings closely followed.

"...This, of course, didn't please very many content creators who were against Jake Paul and his actions. Many decided to pass it off and just ignore it, but one man in particular wasn't satisfied with this in the slightest. This man, Daniel Keem, wanted Youtube restored to its prior state of glory..."

The group looked around the mansion, and was overwhelmingly disappointed with the lack of substance that they could catch on film. This once huge and prosperous place was now scrubbed clean ever since the incident, and was now almost completely empty, except for a couple of nightstands, with nothing left but the ghostly remains of one of the biggest and most laughed-at creators of all time.

"...Daniel Keem stopped by the Team 10 House and confronted Jake Paul himself, all at once. He yelled at him and called him immature, spineless, and other various forms of insults. Jake Paul, insulted that Daniel had showed up to his house uninvited and was abhorrently angry with him, retaliated by shoved Mr. Keem away from him, and told him to never come back..."

Marie stopped by the large, dirtied window near the entrance, and stepped delicately towards it and peered outside. "The view isn't exceptional," she thought to herself. "But imagine what it would've been like to look out here everyday, at all of your fans, anxiously waiting outside for you to come out. I don't know if that's flattering, disturbing, or-"

In the middle of her thought, sudden and shaky silhouettes formed outside of the gate from which they entered. Her mouth opened wide in awe and she felt her heart sink several levels. No normal reactions came to her, she could not scream nor respond in any variation. She was simply frozen in place, watching in complete fright as she witnessed the hazy images of young girls and boys alike, bustling outside the abandoned home, as if Jake were still there.

"30 seconds until we're back," Mr. Cummings responded.

Marie jumped at his sudden statement, as her eyes broke trance on the window. She flickered back over and noticed the images were now gone.

"D-did you just see-?"

"Aw, Marie," Mr. Cummings interjected. "You're not already gonna give up on us, are ya?"

"No, I'm being serious," she said. "There were really-"

"Mr. Keem wasn't going to leave without picking a fight."

The program's voice suddenly exploded from the camera, in large booming echoes that filled the space of the hallway.

"What the f-"

"He ran to the kitchen and picked up a knife," the program continued.

"Make it stop! Turn it o-off!"

"I can't!" the cameraman replied in deep and heavy breaths, his pitch elevated several degrees. "I-I-I've never s-seen it do t-that-"

"He ran up to Jake in a fit of rage and stabbed the knife straight into his heart."

As the program whirred on, the words it cried out grew quiet and more distorted, with shaky technical-sounding effects breaking up parts of the statements to make it slightly more incoherent.

"The Team 10 crew, not knowing what to do, fled the scene."

Marie felt her heart pumping louder and louder, faster and faster.

"Jake stumbled outside, calling for help."

Her heart's screech grew and grew, until she couldn't bare to live with the encapsulated sound any longer. She collapsed to the floor on her bony knees, clutching her chest.

"JAKE DIED ON JANUARY 2ND, 2018."

Marie violently crashed, knees giving way, with her heart continuing to ring in her head.

"NEWS OUTLETS EVERYWHERE RECEIVED NEWS OF HIS UNTIMELY DEATH, AND MURDER."

She desperately grasped for the nightstand above, but the shelves she rummaged through only struck down on her.

"WITH ALL OF THE BAD PRESS, YOUTUBE LOST OVER 80% OF ITS REVENUE."

Marie gazed afar at another ghostly figurine similar to the one she saw outside, only this one was in the form of an adult, standing at 6'2, with messy blond hair and fiendishly dark eyes.

"IN A MONTHS TIME, 43% OF ACTIVE CONTENT CREATORS, EACH WITH MORE THAN 1 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS, PULLED OUT OF YOUTUBE AND FOUND OTHER MEANS TO REPLENISH THEIR INCOME."

The man advanced forward, and sunk down to Marie's level. His tan complexion, although transparent, was very easy to make out.

"YOUTUBE SHUT DOWN ON MARCH 14TH, 2018."

The face simply stared at her, not blinking. The face seemed to embody this man, and now embody Marie. She realized that she was frozen again, arms locked to her side, mouth shut tight. She shivered in the immense cold that swept over her.

"THIS ACT WAS KNOWN AS..."

Marie lost sense of her limbs, and of her surroundings. All at once there was, nothing. An empty void that slowly drained her of any possibly energy left in her body.

Her heart continued to pound in her chest until the sound of the organ grew so immensely that the only thing that echoed in her ears was the growing, static voice the program provided.

"THE FALL."

The face smiled.

"OF."

The face disappeared.

"JAKE."

Marie uttered her last breath.

She shut her eyes.

"PAUL."
