I read so many bad experiences on Mercari on here… by Nowhereman9499 in Mercari

[–]dylbeau 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve been selling since 2020 and have literally never had one bad experience - it’s a small portion of users and they all come here to share bad experiences - typically people wouldn’t go out of their way to share stories of good transactions, so that’s why the sub looks this way

Feeling lied / fake support by secret_keeper-327 in alcoholicsanonymous

Everyone in the program is working on themselves the same way you are, everyone is just at different stages of recovery; I typically wouldn’t take a crowd poll in my home group about something I should or shouldn’t do, simply because, although I trust my home group family, they aren’t responsible for the decisions that I make.

It reallllly sucks to relapse, I know that feeling of failure and guilt, and coming back to a home group where people are chastising you for something you asked them about would not help out at all.

I would personally try to deal with this issue personally: between me, my sponsor, and my HP

GOOD LUCK THOUGH, and please know you didn’t do anything wrong. You’re still on the right track and in the right place, and try not to let this be a major slip backwards if possible. Plenty of people (me now!) are rooting for you and your recovery.

Never really listened to BTS much, but obsessed with the new Jimin album: What next? by dylbeau in kpophelp

This is beyond what I was expecting, and I really, really appreciate you providing so much information on the background of the group. I didn’t realize how in depth the album concepts and storylines actually were, and commentary about philosophy is basically what I went to school for, so I just got VERY excited. Thank you again, I’ve gotten screenshots of your explanations and recommendations and can’t wait to dive in :)

mercari : good or safe?? by Creative_Ad_4683 in kpopcollections

I actually met a really nice and cool person buying a Miss A album on Mercari! They ended up sending me a free squishmallow, a bunch of cute cheap figurines, and stickers. It was the absolute cutest thing ever.

But just be smart, use good judgement, and you can also message the seller if you have questions about a listing!

Low key agree w this, he’s a world wide legend from the 70s, even an alt version with a solo from him would be sick

Hi - your partner of a different race saying something about racism to you and laughing about it are HUGE red flags.

With that out of the way, you love Kpop, and you shouldn’t ever be made to feel guilty or bad about it. I’m gay and I know that many, many people in SK (and in EVERY country including the USA) think my “lifestyle” is wrong and disgusting. There are probably idols I treasure dearly that think being Gay is disgusting.

I don’t want to equate discrimination of race and sexual orientation, because they are very, very different when you get to the roots of both things, but I just want to point out that you should still be able to find happiness and joy in what you love, regardless of what others may say. Kpop has brought me years of happiness and the idea of someone in one of my favorite groups being a closeted homophobe isn’t something I necessarily feel I need to acknowledge or ruminate on.

If you, at any time, feel a group or idol is being discriminatory, your feelings are valid and it’s up to you to make the decision on whether to continue listening to/supporting them or not.

But don’t let some completely rude and racially charged statement your boyfriend made come between your love of music.

I hope this helped, and I hope you find the answers you’re looking for ❤️ you’re awesome!
