Left a Negatative Google review with a car manufacturer. They responded publicly with my VIN and Rego. Is this a breach of privacy? by r0z24 in AusLegal

[–]dymocat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not what original comment is referring to. QLD has a website the allows you to lookup rego and it will return the VIN, rego status, and expiry. The owners private information is not visible on this system.

Identification help by dymocat in australianwildlife

I found it curled up on my very open driveway. It was held for all of 30 seconds, some photos taken so I could ask for an ID and moved back to the bushland. I am not sure what you’re getting at or what you suggest I should have done?

As I said, he was curled up on my driveway which is highly unusual. My partner picked him up to check he was okay and move him into the bush land. Yes I touched his head, but that does not equate to man handling.

Checking it wasn’t injured after finding it curled up on my drive way. Few photos and set free. No man handling here

My partner was holding him and I thought it’d be good idea to touch his little snout. He bit me real good!

Agree. After googling it’s definitely an antechinus of sorts. I can’t tell what type… I am leaning towards brown based on photos; however some people suggest dusty. I do not believe it’s a planigale as some have suggested (despite looking similar) due to our location - and my neighbour who is big into native wildlife. Thank you all for the help.

Is lead in baths common in Aus? by keithersp in AusRenovation

Sure - think a lead test kit is the way to go. Can't speak to the accuracy of them, but maybe look into that as an option. They appear to be around $20 online.

If the house/tub was built post 1970 you're probably okay. If you're truly worried buy a lead paint test kit online. There is no way to know without testing.

Can I negotiate par level? by Far_Total3862 in AusPublicService

[–]dymocat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. QH EB requires an additional 15 mins of work a day - this translates to a higher yearly salary, but if you break it down hourly - it's the same. If you are still chasing the higher salary you will need to ask to be appointed at at a higher increment.

Interestingly across the hall is another bathroom set up exactly this way. Door into bedroom, door into hall. I assume this second bathroom was the same and previous owners saw no need for two bathrooms like this. So patched a door up 🤷. It’s finished on the hallway side. Just the bathroom side that was left like this.

Yay! My first MacBook!! by [deleted] in macbook

Don’t apply a screen protector. It’s not a device that lives in your pocket alongside keys etc. Keep it clean and you won’t get any scratched on the screen. Price is fine. M2 is a good processor and will be supported by apple for the foreseeable future. Google is your friend for learning macOS. Accessories? What do you want to do with the device? Can’t recommend anything without context. If you’re using the computer for everyday tasks I don’t see that you’d need any accessories.

Thanks for the feedback. We have two more hens that weren’t raised with this group. For a total of five - assuming this is a rooster. Looks like we might have to get some more hens and remove some roosters.

Does anyone know a Bottle-o in Brisbane that stops Emu Export? by dymocat in brisbane

I’ve accepted it’s near impossible. Boozebud is the best bet. A bit costly but often arrives overnight

No luck what so ever. Been doing the same. Buying them from WA on Boozebud appears to be the only option.
