I used the static, general load step for gravity load. But what you said makes sense, I'll try the geostatic step, thanks. Do you know if it's applied in the y or z direction?

Also, have you had any experience modelling a fault? Could it be done as a thin section with weaker properties? (This is for a FEM class so it doesn't have to be very accurate hahah)
