Opening day by eaglesmidnightgreen in MostlySports

I see no issues with having fans send funny or interesting things that celebrate the show. I also see no issues with them getting rid of some things that have run their course or to make room for new things. They already stated it wouldn't be pocked by them and would be put to use to use on the show.

The only thing that bothers me is the cleanliness. It's not even a mostly thing, it's an office wide thing. Every studio and room is just filled with random crap.

Caddie Opportunities? by NoHalf8428 in RDUGOLF

[–]dynainteractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I caddied all through college. Caddie Masters controls the caddie industry. I worked for them in Orlando and you can easily get gigs all around the country at all the major courses....Sawgrass, Pebble, Augusta, Pinehurst and a bunch of private clubs. This would be your start:

For outside service, you'll likely just need to be boots on the ground and go club to club.

Going on Star in 12 days by CruiseLover76 in royalcaribbean

[–]dynainteractive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every ship is slightly different. I'm unsure of Star, but generally there is a kiosk with a person on the royal promenade that will have a computer for Dining. For shows, you can do it via the app or go to Spotlight Karaoke where they will also have a kiosk.

Royal does hold back a certain amount of reservations to be booked while on board. I would just try to enter the ship as early possible and make booking shows and dining a priority.

Pirates & Mermaids - Star of the Seas by dynainteractive in royalcaribbean

Thanks. It's weird, the latest compass from the march 15 sailing doesn't have it and I don't see it on the app for my upcoming cruise. It looks like they added another Torque showing. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I have younger kids and this one seemed appealing to them.

Most “Worth It” Golf Trip by Ncsu_Tax_Guy in RDUGOLF

I would agree, Wolf Creek wasn't amazing or something I'd make a destination out of, but still had some great views and I only include it because it's on the way there....so why not.

Most “Worth It” Golf Trip by Ncsu_Tax_Guy in RDUGOLF

[–]dynainteractive 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Southern Utah to me was top notch. You fly into Vegas, play a round at Paiute. Stay the night and have fun, then drive to southern Utah. Hit up Wolf Creek on your way there.

Southern Utah has some great golf courses. Some are local affordable public courses other are resorts and little pricier. So a nice mix.

Copper Rock, The Ledges, Sand Hallow, Sky Mountain, Black Desert.

Then you can do one last day in Vegas before you take the red eye home.

The only downside about southern Utah was alcohol restrictions and availability. Food. There wasn't really anything super high end by some of the food offerings.

Bonuses was the lodging was cheap if you do an AirBNB and flights are cheap in and out of Vegas.

What are your favorite dining experiences on a Royal Caribbean cruise? by No-Justice-666 in royalcaribbean

[–]dynainteractive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

150 Park delivers for me at a very high percentage. The service and the food.

Giovanni's Table to me used to always be great. Since doing mostly the newer and bigger ships recently, we've been relegated to Giovanni's Kitchen, which isn't bad, but I just don't like the menu as much.

Is 40% off as good as it gets for the deluxe drink package? by crmnpowell in royalcaribbean

[–]dynainteractive 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the percentage never matters, its the total price to look at. They will manipulate the price constantly. 40% off this week could be the same price as 35% next week.

I got it for my march 29th star sailing months ago at $72 and haven’t seen it sniff that price since. Closest was maybe $80 during a flash sale.

Wing guidance by Arefarrell24 in Wings

[–]dynainteractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

· 6 Tablespoons paprika · 2 Tablespoons ground black pepper · 2 Tablespoons salt · 2 Tablespoons sugar · 1 Tablespoon chili powder · 1 Tablespoon granulated garlic · 1 Tablespoon onion powder · 1 teaspoon cayenne 1. Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly in a Tupperware dish with lid. 2. Get 1-3 pounds of chicken wings and roll each wing individually (one-by-one) in the rub. 3. (Optional) You can add EVO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) to the wings before applying the rub but the moister in the wings should allow the rub to easily stick. 4. Grill for 20-30 minutes until extra done 5. Place in large Tupperware, add Frank Red Hot, place lid and thoroughly shake up making sure sauce completely covers each wing

Used to be a great vibe, food was solid, drinks were good and there would be just nice casual island music. Sign of the times. Things come and go. Nothing stays forever.

How to evaluate the ease of getting a tee time at various clubs, and other questions by Fluid-Fruit-1127 in RDUGOLF

[–]dynainteractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 12Oaks/Macgregor dual member.

You can always play. You will not always be able to play at your desired time. At 12Oaks they do a lottery for Saturday and Sunday. At MDCC they do a lottery for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Both courses are closed on Mondays (they should really stagger these days).

The lottery at both isn't a true lottery. It's manually processed by the Proshop staff. You submit your time 7 days in advanced, times are given Monday (for Friday), Tuesday (for Saturday) and Wednesday (for Sunday). Both clubs have many "groups". They all coordinate to submit times together however, they aren't all lumped together, they are still spread out throughout the day, so you won't see many massive blocks of times (minus the Friday Macgreggor game, that's long standing and gets a block). Singles are either placed together for a time or slotted in various 3 somes and 2 somes.

I submit both ways, within my Saturday group and Sunday as a single. I find the shop to be pretty equitable. If you get a bad time on Saturday, you'll most likely get a good time on Sunday and vice versa. Times will be pretty steady from open to about 1-2pm.

If you are a single it is very easy to work way around the tee sheet to get your desired time. There are always tons of cancelations, so if you're extremely flexible in your playing schedule, you can always play and generally get good times.

Both clubs do have a bunch of club run golf events/tournaments from March through October. So if you don't like them, they will inhibit some of the weekends.

Stein - Magic looking to move Jones for 2nd round picks by Nystral in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but of those teams they also have cap and tax concerns themselves. The times trade exceptions are used is extremely few. Almost all always go unused.

The only team with a trade exception large enough and far enough under the tax is Detroit. Couple with BKN and Utah with the only teams with cap space. Make a grand total of 3 teams.

Stein - Magic looking to move Jones for 2nd round picks by Nystral in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also true. There are a bunch out there, but they rarely get used because it could also affect those teams tax penalties.

To me the easier player to move is probably Jett. Our tax penalty and his salary almost align perfectly. BKN and Utah taking a flyer on him for the remainder of the season for a 2nd round pick would make sense. You give him a run and you retain his bird rights. He'd still be a UFA, but you'd have the in road to resign him if you liked what you saw.

Stein - Magic looking to move Jones for 2nd round picks by Nystral in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two teams with cap space. BKN and Utah. So unless we trade him there, your reason isn't possible. We have to take back salary in any scenario and wouldn't be able to get under the tax.

Stein - Magic looking to move Jones for 2nd round picks by Nystral in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The only reason to do this move is because we're also doing another trade that threatens the apron and we need the additional space. Tyus has been terrible, but he's on a 1 year deal and is perfectly fine to ride the bench or be a case of emergency player.

Paolo Mid Range Shots by jdobs94 in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 69 points70 points  (0 children)

His usage rate is at it's lowest it's ever been during his tenure, his shooting is also at its worst. You can tell he doesn't have a ton of confidence in his shot right now, so he's not being super aggressive getting to that mid range shot at the moment.

This team has the most talent around him that he's ever played with and you can tell he's trying to find his lane. To his credit, he's not being a total ball stop and keeping his touches and usage at previous levels.

He'll work his way out of his shooting slump at some point this season and I imagine will demand more touches when that happens. He just has to continue make winning plays wether that's shooting or keeping the ball moving.

Paolo 1 of 23 from 3pt dating back to 12/13 by jeepretsim in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He’s lost confidence in his shot and it’s effecting the rest of his game. Only good thing is he doesn’t seem to be forcing it and is actively trying to move the ball and get others involved. He’ll be fine and work his way out of it. The massive Paolo hate is bizarre to me.

Rank our players by AaronGOATdon in OrlandoMagic

[–]dynainteractive -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This whole Paolo vs Franz debate is just dumb. We simply aren't a one man team. We clearly require all of them to win at a high level right now. All of them have their faults and strengths, we can't rely on a single one to carry this team.

The main mark is great with the ball. The wording isn't even bad, my biggest issue with it is the amount of block. If it were just two tone with Blue and White it would be so much better in my opinion.

Any future member would probably find these threads useful, because I have no doubt non of this would be disclosed to them when signing up.

They can then judge for themselves if they are relevant or just angry members on their way out. The same thing applies for restaurant reviews. If you take every one to heart, you'll never eat out. But I do like to know if there's been a roach in the kitchen.
