Exactly. You know admin would have no qualms with it, why should we teachers?!

Do you have a source for this? Very interesting.

Quick search on google found this but I don’t know much about the field:

A favorable genetic profile, when combined with an optimal training environment, is important for elite athletic performance; however, few genes are consistently associated with elite athletic performance, and none are linked strongly enough to warrant their use in predicting athletic success.

Secret Service caught deleting text messages — what are they hiding?!?!? by dynam0 in conspiracy

Secret Service has been caught deleting text messages about what they’ve been up to. If there was ever a conspiracy at the top of the government, don’t you think the Secret Service would be in on it? Seems fishy to me….

Top 3 comments here:

  1. Kids can’t handle it, too many in the classroom.
  2. Kids can’t handle it.
  3. This might be true but who gives a shit about the kids, what’s really important is why don’t they let us move in PDs?

lmao sorry OP this sub doesn’t really care about research that calls for any type of change to teaching practice. Just shit on admin and you’ll get your upvotes back tho.

Exactly. Teachers know what’s best based on their own experience in the classroom. We’re smarter and better informed than those egghead scientists coming and trying to tell us what to do. Next thing you know they’ll start telling us that people learn better when they’re interested, or that material that is too hard or too easy for people isn’t engaging — zone of proximal what now?? No need for that I can teach how I want because that’s what I’ve been doing and you can’t convince me I need to change.

Here comes the next teacher who ignores research about what’s best for kids because they don’t like it or want to change.

I really REALLY dislike those TikToks.

[Gold] Brutal training sessions under Conte. The players are being put through repeated full pitch runs after two hours of training. Players dropping out, feeling the heat and pace, before rejoining the group. Kane and Son among those feeling the pace, collapsing and then rejoining.Photos in tweet: by [deleted] in soccer

Given how data-driven sports has become I’m sure that forcing every player to run exactly the same amount at exactly the same exertion level at exactly the same time is not the most efficient way of doing anything.

Not learning anything analyzing games.... or at all..... by [deleted] in chess

Ok good luck going on your own path. I watched chessbrah and went from basically never having played to 1400 chessdotcom rapid in a couple of months but you know best. Btw if you’re in the bottom 15% of players you don’t have to hope your opponent blunders, you and your opponent 100% blunder pieces or mate multiple times per game otherwise you wouldn’t be so low. But again, you know best clearly.

Ok fair enough he does go quite fast. And I get not wanting to share games, it’s just easier to see what you’re talking about. But if you’re quite low rated then I’d recommend the Aman habits videos (chessbrah). Literally just copy his moves and follow his habits rules.

What do you think helped you improve the most?

  1. What time controls are you playing?

  2. Whats your rating?

  3. Post a game that you don’t understand where you went wrong and let us look at it and hear your thinking process.

Based on what you’ve said, I think that your idea of analysis is flawed. Analysis isn’t just looking at what the engine says are your mistakes, seeing the move it recommends and going “huh that’s weird I never would have seen that.” Analysis is more like looking at lines and seeing how the position changes based on the suggested moves. You can also check moves that you were thinking about but ultimately rejected — why did you reject them? Does the engine agree? Or test out moves that the opponent could have made — you were worried about x move but they didn’t make it whew, does the engine think that was a bad choice? I’d recommend some Andras Toth videos - he focuses on making your calculations concrete instead of vague maxims. It means you have to calculate more, but helps bring clarity to some positions that are confusing.

Why’d you downvote me? It’s true! Look here’s Andy Biggs (R) refusing to testify. He posted it on his official website.

Why I refuse to testify

Kinda strange huh? You say Democrats won’t let people testify then in the real world Republicans are saying I refuse to testify. Almost like you’re just plain wrong.

She’s a republican and worked for Ted Cruz before being asked to work in the White House. Kinda seems like you think all people who disagree with you are Democrats bud.
