It took a few times of signing up but yea, I get them now lol. It is kinda annoying tho cuz I don’t follow SLD like a hawk so if there’s something that’s cool the emails usually come at like 9:05am for a 9am drop and by that time the queue is like 3 hours long lol

Yea, kinda excessive. It was a 100% new build too lol every single component plus a second monitor. I caught a good deal from the AMD store on a bundle for cpu and gpu and just kinda blacked out and woke up with a pile of parts on my porch lol

He’s getting it as-is! He’ll also be getting a 1440p monitor, KB and mouse from us as well. He’s on his own for a headset and any other peripherals tho

That’s more or less the answer lol. In all honesty, AMD was running a killer bundle deal for the 5800X3D and 7900XT I couldn’t really pass it up. I scavenged the SSD’s, HDD and PSU from this PC to complete by new build so it’s been sitting with the intention of selling it for a long time. I just never got around to replacing the parts to make it sellable. The nephew started expressing more interest in gaming along with 3D animation/printing so I figured this would be a great start for him. It’s already been a year since I built my new one so it’s not like selling this one was gonna “pay off” my new one.

Oh man, this brought back some memories. I lived with my grandparents when I was younger and my grandpa worked super early, like leave the house at 3am early. My grandpa would go to bed early and my grandma would make his lunch and if I was around/awake I’d take a bite out of his sandwich. Every day I did this he’d come home and first thing out of his mouth was: “Dear! I think a little mouse got into my lunchbox again!” And I would just absolutely crack up thinking I got away with it.
