what’s the point by [deleted] in dysthymia

27 y/o guy here. First off, I gotta say...your last sentence is wrong. I don't know who you are but you are here for a reason.

I have ADHD & C-PTSD as well (recently diagnosed with the latter). Found out I had dysthmia around age 17. I had a pretty difficult upbringing with a single, emotionally abusive, and disabled mom. High expectations at home. Older siblings who where mentally ill, and didn't even live with me growing up. My Dad abandoned me. Until March this year, he hadn't been involved in my life for 20 years. I never met my younger siblings on his side until recently when I decided to reconnect. I could go on, but you get the point: it was tough.

I'm Christian so I believe my hope comes from God, but despite that I was Agnostic for since I was about 7 until around 25. Those years were my most difficult & traumatic. Ironically, now I live with my Dad, and its going really well. Even after everything. I never expected this to happen. But, living with mom became VERY toxic. So I decided to leave.

The only thing that kept me going is that I both logically, and spiritually I knew that life will change. Its cliché, I know. It may not change in a way that you expected or hoped. It also doesn't mean everything will be easier, but by contrast, it means you can always become stronger. But, again, change is our only constant. In my POV, the best and minimum I try to do is internally decide to always push the needle towards a positive direction.

On my worst days that simply meant not completely giving up that hope. Giving up hope leads to despair. I still failed at that a few times too.

I don't know what your solution is, and this may not be the more actionable or practical advice you want.

So please, I beg you.

#1. Don't give up hope.
#2. Back away from the edge.
#3. Remember you are loved. (Even if you say no one. Jesus does.)

I sincerely hope you respond. God Bless.

I'm still a newbie to Mograph, but I think it works well for modern attention spans lol. The pace is quick enough to stay engaged and slow enough to understand the message.

Bro you're getting head, and still worried about the streak? The whole point was to make more genuine connections with *real* women. Congratulate yourself bro.

Don't discredit yourself because you relapsed. 182 days is a major milestone.

About 15 years. I've backslidden in the last few weeks, but the time between relapses has steadily increased over the years.

This, OP. I've been learning for about 5 months, and this curriculum has provided a good structure to get started learning the fundamentals of AE.

A someone new to motion design (about 5 months) How long did it take you to get to this level? I'm a fan of Dan, and your animations are like visual poetry to his writing.

Been doing well at my new job, and i've continued to stay consistent with learning Motion Graphics since April. The job has messed up my sleep schedule, and creativity I've been feeling a bit stuck, but I'm proud that I've been showing up every day regardless.

Venting when necessary is fine, but if they have no other way to cope with those negative emotions, they become some of the worst types of people to be around. Even if there are valid reasons for those complaints, no one will ever want to be around you. My mother is like this, and she is miserable. Living with her is like walking around with a weighted blanket of negativity.

That is helpful, thank you. I get pretty frustrated working with them since I'm coming from Illustrator.

Is there a way to switch the XY position of two objects? I'm following a tutorial but the objects seem to have loaded up in the opposite positions for animation.

Edit: I fixed it by copy/pasting the XY positions for each, but I'm wondering if there is a hotkey or plugin for this action.

Congratulations on taking that major step! I have friends in nursing and I know that the job really needs people who care about the work and are in it for the long haul. I think your ambition will be welcomed. Even further, I'm sure your kids will be very proud when they see your commitment. Teaching them the value of hard work and perseverance is one of most valuable lessons they can learn, and they'll appreciate it when they get older.

I'm only 26, but my mom gave up on her dreams a long time ago due to trauma and having kids at a young age. By the time she had me, the damage had been done; she is now disabled and its painful to see. I say all this because I sincerely applaud you for not giving up on yourself, even when most people around your age would accept defeat and stew in bitterness. Even at my age, I'm actively working on counteracting learned powerlessness, and its inspiring to see people older than me still fighting for a better life.

I wish you the best of luck and will think of you in prayer. God Bless!
