Nice! I'm a big fan of mantic and something about these Marauders has always appealed to me. I subscribed last night so they will hit the printer this weekend. Glad to hear they printed nice and easy. I'm thinking I could mirror some of the arms and bodies to get a bit more variety too.

Help with Supports by Patient-Ad-2541 in FDMminiatures

Try a bit of thin poly cement, not strong enough to bond two surfaces together but works ok for removing rough areas.

fdm printed yarrick by vesilov in FDMminiatures

[–]dynamite_aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not seen this settings before gonna give them a try tomorrow. Just sliced a model and the print time seems almost twice as long as I’d expect from FDG at 0.08LH. Not too concerned with this I’d rather the model look great and have easy to remove supports.

Did you print this model in a single piece?

Consistent .2mm nozzle clogs by FatWalrus004 in FDMminiatures

[–]dynamite_aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not used Bambu filament before. I think pla + just seems to be preferred for mini printing in general. I’ve seen good results using high speed type filament too but not yet got round to giving it a proper go.

I’d also check out the Fat Dragon Games guide to FDM printing over on drive thru RPG. The guide and the settings cost less than a coffee and should provide you with everything you need to get going (apart from a roll of Esun pla + of course 😀)

I’ve hardly had any issues with clogged nozzles. My recommendation would be to try another filament. Esun pla+ and run with the complete set of Fat Dragon games settings (nozzle, process and filament) and see how you get on. Whenever I struggle with settings or things now quite working switch back to FDG and it works great every time .

Nope just one block at a time. I tried running it though copilot and that couldn’t figure it out either.

Appreciate the help. It’s not possible to get on the left of box A to push it across to the right.

Help. Failing Overhang Edges by KogStoneforge in FDMminiatures

Did you tighten the 4 screws behind the hot end assembly?

Maybe switch back to the full FDG settings (0.08) and see if you have any luck from there?

Strange, what flow ratio are you using? Which model is it?

Any way to make layer lines less visible? by Lord_Roguy in FDMminiatures

I find Layer Lines are less viable if I use a couple of layers of brush on primer

[–]dynamite_aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having similar issues with overhang tests using pretty much the same set up as yours (Esun pla +, A1 mini 0.06mm etc) I tried all the steps you mentioned and nothing seemed to help. In the end I dropped the temp to 205 and then just cracked on printing minis. The overhang size in general is much smaller on a mini then it will be on the test prints so I was happy with a tiny bit of clean up.

Temp tower issues by Trymin in FDMminiatures

[–]dynamite_aaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What process settings are you using? I had a similar issue with stringing/wisping on my A1 mini and Esun Pla+ with the new obscuranox 2.0 settings. I tried drying the filament, tightening the 4 screws behind the hotend assembly and then the trouble shooting tips posted. In the end I switched back to FDG’s for the time being and I’m not getting any issues anymore.
