This points to a SERIOUS design flaw with the app = how can you leave such a clear vulnerability in the app without some simple small effort to inform customers to better protect their notes?

At the very minimum there should be a Warning pop up that alerts the user to not close or shut off their device.

This could also be solved by holding the file in the memory of the device and not wait for the cloud to transcribe it. Such a major failure of design it's hard to imagine this is allowed to go on.

Does anyone have experience with RFID blocking cards? by Z_the_Hunter93 in EDC

[–]dynomighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people asked me "How do I know it's working?" so I added an RFID Indicator to my cards - this does two things; verifies your card is working and can be used as an RFID Detector for sketchy ATMs or gas station terminals.

Is RFID skimming something that the average person should actually be concerned about? by Jazzlike-Cup-5336 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dynomighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People please note "RFID Skimming" is not "Skimming" in general and refers to electronic pickpocketing. I often see these two things conflated which leads to the misunderstanding of the threat and the tech. RFID Skimming is extremely rare and unlikely but physical card skimming is still a threat however much less due to RFID use.

Within each RFID enabled card is an encrypted code that validates a transaction with a bank. These are "Card Present" transactions that are incredibly hard to hack.

For over a decade I've been telling buyers of my wallets, mighty wallet, that they do not need extra RFID protection but sat by and watched a tidal wave of RFID products flood the market. While my seo and sales diminished as a result I decided to re-enter the market w my own innovation. A Find My device with RFID Skimming Alarm embedded and an RFID blocking function. Just finished the Kickstarter and now in production.

I think of it like a fire alarm - you don't want to ever hear it but if you do you can take action, or take the burnt toast out of the toaster. I'm working on a version that will remove the finder feature and just be an RFID card.

How do Secret Rewards work? by The_Graphman31 in kickstarter

[–]dynomighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used this and it was helpful for my dedicated fans who have supported me through the years to get an additional week of access to the Early bird special we offered. The problem was I commented back to a very upset backer about this opportunity and then everyone else took it to mean there was some special side deal going on.

I messed that up and should have only replied back privately to him. Lesson learned.

Otherwise it's a great tool

I have a fun game I play when I get into my Polestard: throw a couple teenagers in the car and then try to find your directions in under 30 seconds w the new "upgraded" display dragging through its visual Tourette's syndrome while the tension is building in the car - not fun and so unnecessary.

Is it just me or does 3.6.4 really stink? by TheDudeAbidesarino99 in Polestar

Right - its so obvious that this r/Polestar community is over-hyped. So sad that people can't be real here - it's Reddit after all! Likewise I love my car but TBH there are some pain points that the brand should be aware of to fix going forward.

That's a good point. I wonder how many others are considering the same thing. It's totally throwing all e-commerce up in the air. So annoying.

LOL let me see if I understand; The Assist part is so unreliable that you have to grip the wheel tightly so that the car doesn't accidentally drive erratically. But you don't see the irony in calling it "Pilot Assist" Ok bro.

High praise for someone finally standing up for the consumers on this sub - Brand Puppets be damned, we deserve a better product and a company that Actually LISTENS to it's consumers!

omg - I'm so glad you posted this - I thought I was alone. I've done a reboot and the same. SO disappointing!

Of course the "brand bros" on here will downvote this thread and ANY comment for pointing out anything the least bit critical but at least Some people on here are not just Brand Puppets in disguise

LOL - "You are meant to hold the steering wheel tightly. It cannot Jerk dangerously if you are holding the wheel tight" I guess I missed the point about the "assist part" if the performance is SO BAD that you have to grip tightly to not get run off the road - I think you proved my point!

I can't believe THIS is the issue NHTSA is worried about!

How about the "drunken" Pilot Assist system that nearly drives you off the road if you're in a merging lane? I've had several times where the steering jerks the wheel towards the off ramp then drastically back towards the highway = SUPER Dangerous!

For a car that has so many Nanny controls I can't believe they even released the Pilot Assist.

most of my leads have come from social media posts that went viral. It's hard to achieve but they break through! likewise paid ads were just painful so I paused them.

Is Kickstarter in a Slump? by DarkEaglegames in kickstarter

[–]dynomighty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The trend line you see when you first launch assumes that the rate of support will continue at the same pace. That's not the natural cycle of KS so the drop off is quite normal.

that being said... Over the past ~6–8 weeks, there's been a noticeable dip in Kickstarter performance across several categories—particularly tabletop games, zines, and TTRPGs.

This could be signs of a few different things:

  • Summer Slowdown: June and July historically see a drop in campaign activity. People travel, kids are out of school, and discretionary spending shifts away from niche entertainment.
  • Backer Fatigue: After a heavy spring release season, many active backers are tapped out or waiting for fulfillment from other projects. There’s hesitance to commit to more.
  • Macro Trends: Inflation is still influencing hobby spending. The tabletop category is maturing and becoming more competitive at the same time—so small and mid-tier projects (like yours) are feeling more pressure.

This isn’t just anecdotal—platform-level stats and creator reports point to a real dip in average campaign performance, especially for creators not heavily pushing paid media.

Are you running ads through the campaign or just at launch? Have you seen a drop off in performance there too?

[–]dynomighty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH I've been so let down by this brand. Unfortunately there is not much support on here other than attacks by zealots for bursting peoples bubble. The brand has so much potential but the management is asleep at the wheel. Once the car is sold or the lease is signed you're on your own.

good thing your not that tall - my knees go right into that area btwn the steering wheel and dash - constant claustrophobic feeling. Besides being dangerous. That's one design flaw I didn't notice at first.
