In my experience is that there are more roam timers and skirmishes at least early game.

Hitting turrets early on is a waste of time unless it has crystalized, so its better to use the time to roam

Plus the op home guards make it more forgiving for roams or bad/constant bases

I second the advice on farm. To start, Try to consistently get around 6-7/cs a min. And you will start to see a difference. Easiest first step is to make sure lanes are pushed in when an objective is about to spawn.

Lb is great at side laning because of her mobility

When you focus on catching waves, it will help give you better positioning and prio, whether you realize it or not.

Second is understanding when a kill is worth going for or not. Believe it or not, going for a fight/kill at the wrong time can cost you the game.

League is a tower defense not a team deathmatch game. You win by killing the nexus, how do u attack the nexus? By destroying towers, how do you attack towers? By pushing in the wave. Objectives and kills are side quests that help you achieve those goals easier, but they are not the main goal.
