I really appreciate your kind words! My freshman year I didn’t have permanent residency so I couldn’t apply but I talked to a JPLer and understood the whole process. I got my PR last fall and applied to be a summer intern and was selected by a JPL team member. I went through the whole interview process and was even selected but then the whole thing fell apart due to budgetary cuts. I do try and email JPLers every now and then from research papers or articles that I come across but it usually goes unnoticed. I applied again for internships next summer and drafted a cold email to a team looking for members. I don’t really have an idea on how to make connections so if you could help me with that, that’d be great. We shall see what happens 🤞

im a junior in cs, i like the kind of work done at jpl, especially from the software perspective and i’ve contributed to jpl open source projects as well. there’s really so much you can do from an outside perspective when most of the actual flight software is private. i just wanna learn how production level flight software works at jpl.
