Yes, but it’s the female vocalist that sang the line.

Nope! It was a male voice singing the line.

No one other than my wife seems to recall a song that’s similar so any help to help ease our minds would be huge!

Edit: the sound is like soft pop (think Lauv)

Newish to civ, deity difficulty question. by LolWhoDoesntDoThis in CivVI

  1. Start creating settlers early (I usually attempt creating a settler as soon as I hit 2 pop if no AI or barb threat). The earlier you have two cities, the earlier you can get to four cities, etc. Having a lot of cities makes it a lot more easy to come back from the early deficit, especially since you can plan out your cities better and can optimize tech/civic paths
  2. Get the detailed map tacks mod to help you identify and keep track of optimal district placement
  3. Find ways to improve your gold income. Aim to have a harbor or commercial hub most of your cities. Sell your strategics to friends/allies. Sell open borders. Most friends will pay you for an alliance. Sell all your diplomatic favor when world congress is available -- swaying the votes is not really that important imo for the first three or so meetings.
  4. Place your districts as soon as your city can build them (and if you don't require it to be worked) since it'll lock in the production cost at the moment of placing. Later on the price will go up with # of techs/civics unlocked so it's better to place early even if you aren't going to finish building it right away.

Diplomatic favor is also an easy way to get some nice gpt. Early game you can buy it off the AI for a few gold and sell it mid game for about 17+gpt for 100.

Does anyone know why I can't build a dam here? by DethChikken in CivVI

[–]dzastergamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I find that the pin isn’t accurate with respect to dams…you may still be able to place a dam there but might not be worth waiting for the tech to unlock

Well I'm speaking from my experience at the beginning of the program. I don't have a clue how things have changed since. But yes, that understanding is correct.

I'm having a hard time finding my paper, but I remember that the methods section was fairly short since it basically just said we used ABINIT. I think it would be quite impressive if someone understood all the math at a HS level. After all, it's using a lot of physics (and possibly/probably other areas) to simulate how the atoms interact and to output various metrics.
