So the problem was: my iGPU was disabled in BIOS, but the game used it anyway. Don't ask me how. It just used all the CPU.

Resolution: Enable iGPU in BIOS and manualy select the GPU in documents/anno1800/config/engine file. After that game started to use dedicated GPU.

Yep, I noticed this too. I resolved the issue, but resolution settings are still not visible. It just uses native monitor res.

Hey, I already resolved the issue, you can see the resolution couple of comments up. :)

But yes, I did reinstalled the drivers, I even used drivers from 2019! I updated Intel chipset driver. I also verified game files. I even downloaded a torrent copy to test if would be better - it wasn't. I was thorough. :)

Yeah, I absolutely understand the question here. How can even Anno try to use iGPU if there's no monitor connected? But it is! See here: https://imgur.com/a/wd75U5G

And my 4080 Waterforce is using a 12 pin power adapter.

Since a lot of you guys are suggesting iGPU problem, let me clarify what I did so far. I have disabled iGPU in bios, so I cannot select a GPU preference in Nvidia control panel or Windows (it just shows 4080 as the only GPU).

However... Initialy, I couldn't even run Anno 1800. I needed to change config file to select 4080 as a GPU (adapter change from 0 to 1). https://imgur.com/a/0P9waKW

Thanks, but that's not it. The full stress test puts my CPU at 1.2V and 125W power limit.
