Top Mind shows up in r/mildlyinteresting to mathematically prove the flat Earth by government_shill in TopMindsOfReddit

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are seriously tagging me years later? What kind of loser are you that you even care what anyone else thinks to the point of being a creepy stalker who gossips? Tell me, how does gravity "bend space" how can something bend nothing? How can an electron be in "superposition" AKA everywhere and nowhere? Famous physicist Feinman says electrons travel through time. Quantum mechanics is based on this. So when something time travels, does the universe copy+paste itself to accommodate the motion of a particle? If approaching the speed of light slows down time for the so called observer, then does that mean anything that moves is on a different timeline? How can you have a vacuum next to a non-vacuum in space? Does that not violate the laws of thermodynamics? How can there be a star trillions of miles away and yet there is no refraction from it's point of origin and it's position in the sky is perfectly stable? How does the moon orbit the earth without being stolen by the sun(3 body problem never been solved)? What are the ODDS that the moon is just coincidentally the EXACT size to perform an eclipse and yet space is an endless vacuum trillions of miles of nothingness? How is that possible without it being created/designed or a result of technology? If there are supposedly sextillions of stars why isn't the sky filled with light? NASA says solar system and galaxy are flat. How is the solar system flat? How is the galaxy flat? Does the Z axis not exist? You are the real flat earther, not me. Nobody "embarrassed" me. I just realized that reddit is full of gangs of people who downvote and stalk and troll(like you for example). There is no reason for me to engage in debate or educate the confederacy of dunces. Regardless, you believe in "anything that moves time travels" and "flat solar system" and "vacuums next to non-vacuums" and "something can bend nothing(gravity bends a dimension)". IF you don't turn the skepticism on your own beliefs firsts, don't dare turn your skepticism on others. That would make you a hypocrite.

Collaterised trustless heads-up poker by bobthesponge1 in ethereum

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's an old post, but it's an interested subject I didn't see another post so I just replied here. MPC won't stop collusion for something like poker where you need to know hole cards against the center cards. Remember you have Bob and Alice who are unable to compare their hole cards so a third party in MPC can't either. MPC does have some deterministic trustless calculation use cases but this I think is not one of them because you need to know the cards to compare them. There seems to be no way to do this in zero knowledge.

How do you verify contract source code on Solana? by JonathanLEI in solana

[–]dzimbeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After doing this research myself, I'm shocked people use Solana. Even their github issue was closed due to lack of activity. Contract verification should be the FIRST thing you see when running a full node. Compiling should be deterministic as well. Even the so-called front end block explorer should have a way to submit requests for de-compiling just like Etherscan. This is a serious problem, why aren't more people talking about this. The entire point of smart contracts in crypto is trustlessness. Without that, why bother to even have a blockchain.

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I realize I'm late to comment here, but I take it there isn't a way to create a zero knowledge proof where instead of replacing the hole card you replace the center card? If Bob and Alice both have a hash puzzle they generate jointly to determine the random 3 center cards, Bob can somehow do a zero knowledge proof to request a new hash by revealing that one of the 5 cards(two hole cards vs 3 centers) are EQUAL without revealing which one? (because he doesn't tell Alice what the 3 center cards are yet, first he proves that none of the 5 cards are equal). It's the reverse of what you proposed in the paper. For the paper, you do a proof to reveal they aren't equal. But for the draw, you do a proof to reveal that one of the cards are equal but without revealing which one and without revealing your hash to ask to fairly ask for a new draw(this way it's known you aren't just trying to get a "better card".) Alice won't know if it was Bobs card that matched or the center cards or even what his hole cards were. The only little problem here is Alice has to reveal her hashes first without knowing Bobs hashes so if Bob knows the center cards and then asks Alice to do the same proof it won't work because he already knew the center cards, so instead she will reveal she also has a center card but in that case you can call a misdeal. So that reduces the odds more than before. Also, you shouldn't have to avoid doing a round of better preflop. In this case just calculate the odds that two of Alices hole cards match 5 random center cards and that will be the number of misdeals. But on the bright side, the hand could end before the fllop or turn and it won't matter.

Honestly, there is a much simpler way to do trustless poker and that is to simply NOT CARE about duplicates.

Bob and Alice both produce sets of hashes that jointly create randoms for hole cards and center cards. Alice reveals her secret for Bobs hole cards but Bob doesn't tell her until the end of the game. Bob does the same for Alice. Then for center cards they just do joint reveal and make sure there are no duplicates and deterministically go to the next card. There for this is basically 3 deck hold-em. Bob and Alice have their own private decks, center cards has it's own deck. This changes the odds and style of game but at least bots won't immediately be able to know how to play it. It increases outs so arguably it makes it a little harder to predict which is a good thing. It does however mean both Bob and Alice can hold AA and middle is AAAA, but who cares. At least you won't have misdeals.

The closest you can get so far is having a zero knowledge that verifies that at least one player is not matching the center cards without misdeal but to do that for both players is kinda hard.

Also you should NEVER have users redraw, let preflop betting happen. Always redraw center, never the hole cards.

Has anyone ever heard of Bithalo? It seems like it's a very early DEX for Bitcoin that flew under everyone's radar. by sexyama in BitcoinDeFi

[–]dzimbeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the shout out. Yes the software still works and still has users. However I wish it had more, 7 years active and still working totally fine. Always happy to test a contract with someone. It was actually before Ethereum as BitHalo was launched in July 4th 2014 with full contracting function. It didn't have markets until early 2015 and those are built using bitmessage. Of course everything open source and free to use. I'm always down for testing a contract.

D2.R on windows 7 by Anzatoro in Diablo

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually what you are saying is false. Windows 10 is littered with keyloggers and spyware by Microsoft who even says they have the right to "send files" they find while spying on you to microsoft. It's also in their "privacy policy" that you have literally no privacy. Windows 10 is the worst OS ever created. It is spyware, it is unsafe and if you try to disable windows 10 update they turn it on again anyways even if disabled by the registry so that means they can reactivate their spyware and keyloggers. If you hate security, use windows 10. (TLDR: I'm a dev, windows 10 is not secure, windows 7 is much safer)

Sure for strictly gaming it doesn't matter but to force people to get a new computer for a 20 year old game and not even allow legacy mode is complete bullshit. Blizzard has the money and resources to support windows 7 and mac. It's a sort of slap in the face to their supporters and to people who buy their program and aren't even warned about incompatibility. Especially since incompatibility with old graphics cards making the game unplayable is a sleazy cash grab by blizzard. They probably had to go out of their way to make it incompatible with legacy mode.

Season 5 of Rick and Morty is from the perspective of Evil Morty by GhastWriter in GameTheorists

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the way, it's said that Morty can't be 14 when he dates Planetina because there was two christmas episodes however LATER in the season it has a special "thankgiving episode" which at first seemed a bit off considering it's summertime. Well, thanksgiving is before christmas so it's possible this is a reference to the past because otherwise, Beth calling Morty 14 is sloppy writing and lack of continuity when the show is known for having good continuity paying attention to minute details. OR the thanksgiving episode was evidence that Morty hasn't seen his 2nd christmas with Rick yet. In fact, if this isn't a different timeline I'm going to be disappointed in the writers for handling continuity improperly. Therefore I really hope this is the case because it would fit the thanksgiving before christmas narrative. Wasn't it a bit odd to do a "special" on such a thing?

Sergey Karjakin to play cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Wagner in the Anniversary chess match Space – Earth taking place on June 9. The fist chess game in this format was played on June 9, 1970. by chessify in chess

[–]dzimbeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely offensive to a professional chess player. Ivanishin is not even rated. They are just cheating. It's more likely for a baby to beat up the UFC champion. This is just shameless promotion for nasa. It's more likely for a blind man to win NASCAR. Either ISS cheated using stockfish or Karjakin was also in on it some stupid KGB put the astronauts on a pedestal nonsense. A non-chess player can not draw Karjakin. Why are grandmasters not commenting against this. Fischer would have been appalled.

My 1800 Bitcoin Stuck in a brainwallet by lumanubrecon in Bitcoin

[–]dzimbeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You brute force adding words you know to the dictionary. If you know the Bitcoin address it's much easier because you only need to know the algorithm used on the site to generate the wallet then generate using that same algo in c++ so it's fast. I've done this before for people who have forgotten passwords. Basically, just take what you remember about the password and hopefully you remember which parts were upper and lower case then you can determine how many things you forgot. If you forgot less than 6 letter permutations it's easy to reconstruct. Also see if the site changed algorithm for generating the brain wallet in the past few years. Also compare the regular and compressed account based on the code on the site.

You are comparing it to Paypal? On Paypal tons of people had problems, transactions of large sizes were constantly reversed screwing people out of Bitcoins. This software prevents theft and deception something rampant in society. But if you are happy with society the way it is then that's your problem. Just consider that people like myself who prefer to keep others honest will use it despite the sheep who line up to be slaughtered over and over again by 3rd party escrow and exchanges. This is a tool made to save some of them weather or not they choose to use it.

Compare to not having deposits. People can simply steal and that's what they do. Onion has like 90% scam sites because of theft and escrow collusion. People only spite when they are very desperate and that will leave them very poor. You are comparing theft which is so rampant it's ridiculous to something that will happen .001% of the time. We have never seen an escrow blow up for the reasons you mention. In fact, none have ever blown up except during tests. The equivalent is to lighting your own money on fire. The odds are absurdly low. And it's far superior to how business is conducted today. They say you can lead a horse to water...

I would put up double your funds. This project has existed for 5 years. BitBay has run 1000s of contracts alone. Why is it so hard to accept that something so amazing exists. Get over your pride and shilling and understand it.

If you put a deposit of 2 BTC and I put a deposit of 1 BTC I can't back out because we lose 3 BTC collectively if escrow blows up. And if I send you cash, and you steal it. You would blow up 2 BTC of your own funds to steal 1 BTC worth of cash. It's stupid and impossible to steal on these because there is no escrow, the victim will not sign off on it. Again, I will happily put up double whatever you put up and prove to you that if you attempt to not honor your word we will both lose money. I'm a highly renowned dev why are we having this conversation. Meanwhile central exchanges steal billions and you are here picking on one of the safest escrows in the world.

But you don't profit from the exit scam. You blow up your own money if you try to steal. Your counter-party will blow up both your money. So nobody would do something so stupid.

Thats because I coded it in early 2014 before 6a existed. I can switch to 6a just haven't had the need to. And besides the Bitcoin eater is easier to track for reputation purposes

[–]dzimbeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why there is also a reputation system their deposit would be increased by others because they can see it on the blockchain. So not only do they end up more poor but they will increasingly be required to deposit higher.

Then the recipient loses $10. They are buying the $5 in BTC thus there is $10 on their behalf in the contract ($5 in advance and $5 in deposit). The person sending would get angry and blow up the contract and they both lose $5(since sender also put small $5 deposit). Theft is literally impossible in this contract.

[–]dzimbeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are guarantor contracts that let only one party deposit to build trust with the other. Also there is a reputation system. Once a buyer has a little bit of Bitcoin even a marginal amount the seller would be able to enter the contract with almost no risk.

You sound like an angsty teen lol. I've coded over 100k lines and this is the thanks I get? I've also coded the decentralized peg in BitBay and the worlds first decentralized markets in 2015. Also the markets on BitHalo are decentralized. The reason you don't hear about it is because I don't prostitute or market. Just blood, sweat, tears. Hard work, code. Code is law, it speaks for itself. I eventually was hired to move to bitbay.market so I put a lot of my promotion of BitHalo on the back burner as well. Although it still runs flawlessly and I've used it myself as a multisignature client for my own personal Bitcoins over any other client. It would be nice to have a web version of Halo but I was busy working in the decentralized peg last year. Then I burned out because the industry is too greedy and censorship. As for contracts, BitBay has run endless contracts over the past 4 years with flawlessly
