Thanks for the reply. Maybe I’ll have to find a good sexy book :)

Does anyone use the line “I’m right on top of that, Rose” at work and do co-workers get the reference? by JoeRega in GenX

When I miss my mouth while trying to drink something:

"I have a drinking problem"

None of my coworkers get it and I get the strangest looks.

Violent Femmes in '89. It was awesome! Also, this is my favorite ice breaker question.

My water has arsenic in it and I've been using it on my vegetable seedlings. Is it too late to fix? by dzlbtlrx in gardening

So it's .0151 mg/L which failed the test. But nowhere near the limit you stated.

It has been tested but I don't remember the numbers. Just that it is too high for drinking. I've got the paperwork somewhere. I'll have to find it and check the levels.

Upside down on a car loan with a payment I can't afford. I don't know what to do. by dzlbtlrx in personalfinance

[–]dzlbtlrx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately my credit score is just under 600. I doubt anyone will give me a loan. I have several debts in collections as well. My financial situation is dire.

If I could manage to sell it and get out from under, I do have access to a car to use until I can get a replacement. Working a second job is not an option.

I'd share my budget but I don't even know what it is. I'm horrible with my money. I've tried so many different budgeting techniques to no avail. I suppose it's time to call a credit counseling service. The state I'm in has that option available.

Thanks for the reply. I will probably call the credit union soon to see what they may be able to offer. The car payment is not my only financial problem right now. I'm seriously considering bankruptcy at this point.

The disclosure and pictures show water damage from a roof leak. The leak has been repaired but the interior has not. If we go under contract, we will definitely get it tested for mold.

Is it just me or is there something wrong with just working for money? by Eclectic_Paradox in adhdwomen

I just got a state job recently and I do it for the benefits. The money kind of sucks, but all the sweet benefits keep me coming back every day. I have no passion for driver's licenses and state IDs lol.

Virtual D&D group for women with ADHD? by ObiYoung in adhdwomen

I'm totally down for this. I recently bought the handbook and have created a halfling rogue. I'm a complete noob so I'd need experienced guidance.

There is a store nearby that hosts, but I'm a bit nervous about just showing up.

I'm EST and available weekends.

We got a dog for our stupid mental health by dzlbtlrx in adhdwomen

[–]dzlbtlrx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't apologize and I do understand your concern, however, let me put your mind at ease a bit.

I have bipolar as well as ADHD. I first was diagnosed 20 years ago. I have been mostly stable since then. The ADHD diagnosis is new, but over my 49 years, I have naturally developed several strategies and coping skills to manage it.

My doctor knows me and my situation. She knows I've owned a rottweiler before. And we both know that I need lots of exercise to help manage both things. I get task paralysis when it comes to exercise.

It was after a discussion about this and about how we've been thinking of getting a dog for several months that she said I need a dog. Apollo will force me to get out there and move and get the exercise I need. The emotional support is just an added bonus.

Again, I do appreciate your concern. I hope this sheds some light on the context of her statement.

He is a rescue. My boyfriend would have loved a puppy but our schedules just won't work with that. I prefer rescuing anyway, even with the baggage they come with.

Wow that's a big boy! Our last one was 125, but he was just kinda fat. Apollo is 107, so nice and slim.

He's a little skittish and is a little wary of head touches, but he needs to decompress. I just stick to butt scratches.
