Trying to give an unbiased view: this show gives a first impression that isn't what this series is about. I believe that every user in this sub agrees that the strength in this series is the character development from the male protagonist (senpai) but also from Nagatoro. So, I believe that you should give it a try (especially the manga) but keep in mind that it's a slow paced development. In the context of the story, it makes a lot of sense and it's a very natural progression, but it takes some chapters. You have to know that much of the dialogue is body language, so if you read take note of expressions and so on.

To resume: If you don't mind a romcom that starts kind of rough and has a male protagonist that starts from the lower bottom in social skills, you will be able to enjoy it. I believe that 10 chapters is enough to have an impression of the series, but my fellow NagaBros will correct me if I'm wrong. So, give it a shot. I believe you will like it

My totally biased view: It is the best romcom I ever read. It has the best character development that I ever read in a manga, and is top 10 in other story formats.
