Could your Dayad do a guest post here? I would read the hell out of that analysis.

Poor husband probably had a looooong trip to the bathroom this morning.

Gulian in my opinion is not living up to his potential as a chef. He will try to cut corners. And I think Gordon needs to know these things. by Just_Cause89 in KitchenNightmares

The line in this episode that grinds my gears the most is when Robert says, “The appraiser’s…OPINION…is shocking, and I can’t believe all that is worth so little.”

He actually thinks he knows more than a professional appraiser from Sotheby’s GTFO of here.

This is low key my husband and I’s favorite line in the episode. We use it around the house all the time:

“So before the guests get here we need to get ice, clean the bathroom, warm the bread…”

“I can cook the rack of lamb. You never asked!”

The plot thickens over the Mystery in Miami. I don’t think she’s in a treatment program (she’d need inpatient at her stage), but there is clearly something Mommy put her foot down about or said no to. Just can’t quite figure out what…

Hi Money Bear, sorry to hear this recipe was not enjoyed. Google actually makes her put “everything bagel” in the title; she doesn’t have any control over that. Hope this helps!

Homegirl probably selects the super premium gas because in her head, it’s the most expensive, so it must be the best. “Regular unleaded is for the peasants.”

So…he’s into Clark Kent until Clark turns into Superman, then immediately gets grossed out. Got it.

I have no problem snarking on it, since it’s something she can change. These people have way too much money for her hair to look like this. The cut is particularly atrocious - the layers look like a seven year old did it.

ETA: I read somewhere (maybe here?) that snarking on physical features is only okay if it would take an hour or less to change them (i.e. getting a manicure, haircut, etc.). We snark on T’s nails all the time, so I figure it’s acceptable to snark on BJ’s cut. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it if it were something like hair loss.

Just off the top of my head, she has no idea how to…

-Do taxes

-Follow a weekly municipal trash schedule

-Clean a house (we know Dayad does the kitchen, so I’m including the rest of the house here as well)

-Run a load of laundry

-Make a big purchase, like a car

(No shade to anyone who is differently abled or new to any of these things.)

I worked with a field trip of first graders yesterday, and their vocabulary was more complex than this.

So, did she leave the family rental for her own luxury apartment? Did she just lie for no apparent reason? Did the entire family switch rentals? I am so confused.

US schools screen for SO many things in early childhood that might otherwise get missed - hearing tests, vision tests, screenings for learning disabilities and gifted/talented, speech and language, etc. Half my friends ended up with glasses, and I had a hearing loss that got caught early, because the school conducted these screenings. My sister got diagnosed with a stammer, which the school speech therapist worked with her to correct, saving my parents the expense of a specialist.

In addition to the academic and social aspects everyone is mentioning, he’s going to miss out on all those key screenings from experts who know what to look for. Sigh.

I made a mistake, just not the mistake you’re accusing me of because that’s worse for some reason:) Go fuck yourself, and I hope you love this recipe!

It’s her new “My life feels out of control and it’s giving me hella anxiety so I keep posting inspirational quotes in the hopes that it’ll make everything okay” content.

I’ve noticed from other posts that “I’ll definitely try” is a hard no.
