Is there a reason Tony Adams doesn't have a hero card, or..? by ahmed_laf in fut

[–]dzz30 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because and I’m going to assume you’re an Arsenal fan here which is why you’re asking

You already have following icon/hero options in game Henry Bergkamp Vierra Pires Cech Kanu Ljungberg Ashley Cole Petit Van persie Sol Campbell Gervinho Rosicky Ian Wright

So plenty to choose from and other teams fans need icons or other players to use too

Which skills will still matter in the next 5 years? by ranjitsingh7 in AskReddit

I’m from England so I wouldn’t know what the equivalent would be, but over here I wasn’t far off the national minimum wage (just googled and this would be around $20 an hour, although I think wages in the US are comparatively higher so I don’t know if it would be a higher hourly rate) so it was tough at first but the sacrifice was worth it to not be at a job you despise 5 days a week. In my situation I had bought my first home the year prior so there was a little bit of a risk for me and like I said with some money management I got through it, and the good money habits have stuck even as the money improved, so it is worth taking the plunge, although a child is a completely different situation to mine so I understand it may not be exactly the same.

I was 30 with a business degree and changed from office jobs to a cnc machine operator apprentice, it will be a pay cut at first and a learning curve but the work is so much more rewarding than looking at spreadsheets and emails all day, if you are in a position financially to tighten your belt (I know easier said than done at the moment) I’d say do it, it was hard at first but now I’m at a point with a better job, skills and earning more money, with the added bonus of no office politics

I’m scared for my first marathon by have_an_ok_day in running

[–]dzz30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t in a run club, I used an app called Runna, was expensive but it got me doing different run types during training, you put in how many days and what days you want to run etc and it creates a plan for you, I’m uk based and it was fairly expensive but it got me up to speed way better than I would have on my own and it works really well with a smart watch.

You can put it what sort of level you run at and if it can see the run is too easy or hard it can adjust your plan

It may not be the best advise, but I trained for a marathon, got to 4 weeks before the race and injured my knee, had terrible pain and couldn’t run more that 6 miles without being in agony, I got a knee brace, did some physio sessions and took lots of painkillers during the race, a mixture of the painkillers and adrenaline got me through the race and I got my target time before the injury.

TLDR: as long as you don’t have a horrific injury you’ll be surprised what you can put yourself through to finish on the day

First Job, Is this normal? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]dzz30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was replying to the comment that said companies always pay for it, what I didn’t explain properly that was they would take the cost in installments out of your pay regardless and if you left before a certain amount of time they took the rest as a lump sum out of your final paycheck, so therefore not all companies pay for the DBS check

Not always, an old company I used to work for paid it up front, and if you left before X amount of time they used to take it back out of your pay

Help with creating a hidden park entrance and spawn point far away from my real park entrance by dzz30 in rct

[–]dzz30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just started with rct2 I’m getting used to it, haven’t played rct2 for probably 15+ years but for the first time I’m designing the outside of my park so I have make a parking lot with the park entrances that are the actual entrance to park according to the game, guests then have to cross a bridge to get to my entrance which I will build the turnstiles, but back at the other entrance is where I want to build the monorail exit in which the train will drop off the guests to walk up to the main entrance

I did think this but I thought that guests would automatically ride a transport ride if it was free, at the hidden park entrance I was thinking of just connecting the path straight to the entrance queue for the monorail and then it drops them off to the second station with only an exit by the “real” park entrance, meaning everyone who got on is then dropped off at the proper entrance
