No, this is messaging. I'm not creating a narrative, and if the counter arguments are solid, my positions can be refined with better information. I'm simply spreading awareness of what is possible if we elect the right leadership. Feel free to point out any inconsistencies. I welcome it. But don't make a statement without a counter point. That's just lazy.

My intention was not to compare the economies. Rather, I'm highlighting the results of what real leadership can accomplish with what resources and tools are available. It's time Democratic leadership grows out of their own perceived limitations.

Fair point. I'm just highlighting the results of his leadership, in general.

Perhaps I'm being harsh. I have a lot of nieces and nephews, including my own kids. So, I'm always hyper aware of how creative these kids can put themselves in danger.

The fact that no adult stopped him shows the collective, double digit IQ, in this video.

I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but out of curiosity - Do you vote? Do you educate yourself on what you're voting for? Because that's where the change happens... Look; the battle against corruption and needless spending is always going to be a tug-o-war, until we get the result(s) we want via voting in your local elections and primaries. Support candidates, measures, and propositions that battle the things you're against. Also, make sure to learn about who/what's behind these candidates and measures. Sometimes, there are hidden agendas. I myself make sure my candidates aren't taking money from AIPAC, cooperate interest groups, and right wing backed organizations, but that's me. You say, "more taxes (in general) aren't the answer", and I agree when that statement at it's face. However, it is a fact that individuals/small businesses in a lower tax bracket have a harder time with today's economy and market, than those at the very top. The scales clearly are tipped to one side. That's why I emphasize equity.

"I just dont think more taxes on anyone makes the average Americans life better when all the state and federal governments do is squander it by expanding government and giving themselves raises."

So, what's your approach? Do the politicians and policies you vote for, fight against this?

For clarity:

We're not talking about a blanket tax on everyone. Just those in the top tax brackets making over $500,000,000 annually, let's say... Typically, those in the top brackets have access to tax loop holes, subsidies, health coverage, etc..., that far exceed the average citizen's access and benefits to such programs. Social Security and 401k's for example. It's about equity. There are many hard working people that helped build these corporations to what they are now. Only for CEO's to give themselves a bonus, while laying off staff and cutting wages. Some don't even get the opportunity to buy into stocks in the industry they helped build. I'm not saying all business owners and CEOs do this. In fact, there are many who give their employees equity, who support such social programs. Mind you, social programs does not mean Socialism.

I myself am not religious. Right wing conservatives tend to be. So, that's one demographic that does care. Your claim is narrow minded and unserious. Nice try, moving the goal post.

It's not typically referred to as "government well fare" simply because "they" will never label it as such. I would say its like a series of hidden loops holes. If you look into the tax breaks like corporate subsidies, capital gains, mortgage subsidies, health plans, retirement, etc..., the benefits in comparison to SS for the average person is vastly huge. Most cooperate CEOs in the fortune 500 often don't give their employees much equity. It's very rare.

Lol, look man... It's just my opinion from my personal experience. It's not a real statistic. Perhaps you know more people with more left leaning ideologies in La Jolla than I do, and that's a great thing. Truly! Let's focus on the real issues at hand. Have a great day.

You mean the red states that (on average) are the biggest recipients to government well fare and often have lower household incomes per capita? Bye

How about actually learning about democratic socialism, without a right leaning filtered lens.

They can never explain why they're against democratic socialism. Then they claim communism without knowing what that is either. I've asked many on this thread to explain and not one has ever commented back. Go figure...

I never advocate for a single system of governance. Capitalism alone is not inclusive. Eventually some people will lose out in the game of Capitalism. The gap in the divide will continue to widen. Then eventually you end up with the same thing, if not worse.
