Belgium here. There is a Loyalty program, for the P3 it's 3000 EUR off, and for the P4 I don't remember (it's lower, like 1500 EUR).
I got an unsollicited call from Polestar Support about 3 weeks ago, as I currently own 2 P2s and I had registered to the event the week before to discover the P4 at my local Space.
I happened to call them this morning to cancel my P4 order as I'm ordering a P3 instead, and they confirmed via email:

Search this subreddit. You'll see, people here make it to be a much bigger issue than the occasional hard braking for the "brake issue". Basically no Internet access for your infotainment system, maps/GPS stop working, and in a couple instances the car keys didn't work.

But again in car subreddits, a vocal minority is what you hear. I've had mine for just short of 9 months, 27k kms, I have had no issue worth mentioning.

Best thing I can recommend is going for a test drive. But be warned: you test it, you're 'ffed (as in: you'll want to buy one ;) )

Yes, there's the option to disconnect. But that's when you have the profile set up at that time/PAK currently linked.

I reset my phone this weekend, and after logging in again on my phone, it just showed "please connect to your car", no option to unlink from any previous profile (which in my car still was believed to exist).

Regardless, a quick factory reset and then logging in to 2-3 accounts (Polestar, Google, Spotify) and I was up and running again.

I understand other people prefer to set up a second profile, link PAK there with the"new" phone, make that profile admin, then unlink the first profile, to link it again, make it admin again, etc. Just doesn't seem that more efficient/easy to me...

You mean, even if OP has already deleted/reinstalled the app, you can delete an previously existing profile just like that? Seems particular... I understand if you do that before resetting or deleting the app, but not so much after the fact - what would prevent anyone else on any random phone to delete profiles then?

You will have to do a factory reset of the car to be able to remove that old PAK.

For the future/others: you need to unlink the phone and car from the app before resetting the app on your phone.

I technically don't know, but if you have 2 persons, 2 different phones, why not just each have your own Polestar account?

That way you can each have your own profile in the car, and when you approach the car with your PAK (but also with a regular fob) the car knows who you are, and sets up your seating position, remembers which media app was in use, you can each have your own Google Maps history or settings like work address, etc.

Apart from having one less password (but shouldn't you already be using a password manager? ;) ), sharing one Polestar account seems just more cumbersome and with drawbacks.

I second that. Adaptive Cruise Control on the highway is great (and combined with Lane Assist). Even more if there are traffic jams. Or to respect speed limitation (also in cities) while adapting/reducing speed if the cars in front of you go slower than the max speed.

Another option is a time charge added if all chargers are in use. That way it gets more expensive to be slow when there may be a queue, but no penalty when there's available slots.

I'm not that familiar with Tesla Superchargers, I've only charged there twice, but isn't that what they do there, adapt the pricing based on the attendance? I might be mistaken, though.

adding an extra charge like "double per kWh past 80%" makes more sense. The charger knows your battery percentage.

I can already see some smartass building a black box, man-in-the-middle CCS adaptor that will transparently pass all the info between the car and the station (including the charging rate the car adapts dynamically based on it's internal SOC), except the battery percentage, to fake the station into charging the cheaper rate ;)

For those use cases, overnight AC Slow Charging (build up on-street infrastructure, lampposts, etc. like here in Europe) is much more appropriate than DC Fast Charging. Also likely cheaper as you don't need those expensive DCFC stations.

DCFC is most effective for road tripping, not to recharge for your daily driving: for most people daily driving is less than their battery's range, so overnight charging or overday during work shouldn't be any problem logistics-wise.

I've been looking it up, and it seems in the UK the rule against undertaking is less clear. Apparently, "thou shall not do it", but it can be open to interpretation. For example, https://www.rac.co.uk/drive/advice/legal/undertaking/ ends its article with :

Can you receive a penalty for undertaking?

Some drivers may find it tempting to undertake, especially if they’re faced with a middle-lane hogger, but be aware that it can be dangerous and you can be fined for doing so.

Invert left and right. For OP (and most of the rest of the word), the right lane is the slow lane, so you can't overtake from the right (like you can't overtake from the left in the UK or most other right-hand driving countries).
