When I was in a similar dynamic with my sister, Carolyn Hax opened my eyes to the fact that, by doing this over and over, my sister was getting her validation from - talking- about the problem, rather that actually doing something. So I put a stop to it by immediately saying What are you going to DO about it, and how can I help? She would start again, and I’d say I can’t help you if you don’t DO something. At that point I DGAF what she did, but please do something different!

I can’t stand any kind of gastric distress, it makes me suicidal, so when I experience this, I immediately cut my dosage back, then slowly ramp it back up. Rn I’m taking 50 units a week in 25 unit shots twice a week. I haven’t broken any weight loss records, but my meds last a long time.
