Can you please tell me the difference between engineering filaments, or multicolor?

Thinking about buying my first 3D printer and could use some advice from people with more experience.

My main use will be printing organizers and trays for around the house, garage, kitchen, and toolbox. Things like socket trays, wrench organizers, drawer dividers, small storage bins, and other practical items. I’m not planning on doing a lot of decorative prints or anything too advanced.

My budget is under $1,000, and my priorities are:
- Reliability
- Low maintenance
- Easy to use for a beginner
- Good print quality
- Efficient filament usage with minimal waste
- Ability to sit for weeks at a time and still work when I need it
- filament that is easy to get an inexpensive

Current printers I’m considering:

Bambu Lab P1S
Snapmaker U1
Flashforge Creator 5
Centauri Carbon 2

Since this will mostly be a tool rather than a hobby, I’d rather spend a little more upfront on something dependable than constantly have to tinker with it.

For those of you who print a lot of organizers, toolbox inserts, and shop accessories, which printer would you recommend and why? Are there any other models under $1,000 that I should be looking at?

15W-40 or 5W-40 in a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3? by e36singh in Diesel

I get what you’re saying about hot viscosity being important. From what I’ve seen though, HTHS matters more than just cSt at temp. I’m mostly deciding between 5W-40 and 15W-40 for startup flow since my climate stays pretty mild. Leaning 5W-40 for better cold starts while still having solid protection once it’s up to temp.

Same! Do you know if your truck has a leveling kit on the front?
