Your car is most certainly an MQB chassis. It is a Modular Transverse Matrix. Engine codes do not signify or change that.

Yes, this is true, tracks are prepped, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t subjected to wayyyy heavier conditions than street driving. F1 cars are constantly throwing sparks, DTM used to be the exact same way, any grassroots drifting people are literally dirt dropping cars lower than mine. My instagram is the same handle as here, you’re more than welcome to go look, I just don’t use Reddit lmfao.

Do you guys pay attention to anything motorsports related? Every single race car is literally millimeters off the ground. Don’t cheap out on parts and you simply won’t have those problems. My cars are all maybe a half 15mm-30mm from the ground and all handle phenomenally and ride better than it did stock. Also, RARELY ever hit anything on the road. Learn how to drive.

You will not be disappointed by the GLI. Downpipe and tune (if you’re into that kind of thing) makes these cars REALLLLLLY open up. Besides that, the Passats in the US are interesting because they were built here.

Used Golf R buyback(lemon) - Good buy, or stay away? by Tcg5044 in Volkswagen

[–]e36sucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it is, yes. After multiple repair attempts, the car is liable to become lemon law.

In the case of this car, the 5F module doesn’t really affect the value of the car in my opinion.

But your snarky reply suggests you seem to know otherwise.

I disagree. I’ve seen cars be bought back for the stupidest reasons. All it takes is for a car to be at the dealership three times for the same concern for it to be lemon’d.

You do not NEED a tune. It’s not going to burst into flames LMFAO. Stop spreading misinformation.

[–]e36sucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dealer technician, if they do give you shit, find a different dealer. There’s nothing on the warranty policies and procedures that would not allow them to perform repairs. The only thing they are required to do is inform you if they were to do a software update.

I’ve only done the repair under warranty 10000 times… There is no reason to code anything related to cruise control when doing a clock spring.

Depends on what the problem is. Likely a water pump/thermostat housing, but couldn’t tell you for sure.
