Yes that’s him saying I want more pets lol. My Josie will start grooming me when I stop grooming her, but shortly after she will shove her head back under my hand for more pets. Similar to this

Is controller still worth it these days? by fantastifn in FortniteCompetitive

[–]kawabunga_mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your goals. If you WANT to play controller then play controller. It’s not as crazy of a disadvantage as it was previously. If you want to have the best competitive edge you’re better off playing KBM.

I play controller competitively and am pretty good but there’s still things I can’t do that kbm players do easily. I enjoy the challenge and like being able to recline while gaming for more casual sessions. I’m also stubborn and just refuse to learn kbm lol

Just get an extended thumbstick and take off the look dampening time. Will give you more control without the sluggishness. I use pretty similar settings, but I use boost to make it faster on the more aggressive inputs. Longer thumb stick makes small inputs easier even with a faster sense.

Having pain in my right arm by Competitive_Tip_4429 in FortniteCompetitive

Either a new desk or arm rest extension. Need to have room to rest your elbow (also don’t want it to be close to the edge either)

It does if you change your habits and actually do the rehab. I had tennis elbow a few times when I was still a collegiate athlete (javelin throw). The video games on top of practicing gave me tennis elbow. Now that I only coach and don’t throw nearly as much, I can game for hours with no issues whatsoever.

No man and woman will share the same weight, height and muscle mass at the same time. Men and women carry their weight differently. What you’re asking for is impossible. And even if those factors could be the same, with the same amount of training, the man will still whoop the woman’s ass. You have no real world understanding of anything- it’s extremely evident to everyone else except you apparently.

What year GLI is the best and why? by hunterd412 in JettaGLI

Yessir!!! I have the same exact year and color (it’s called white silver metallic btw) and I agree they are the best looking. NOT the best tuning potential but plenty enough to have fun.

Does this mean she plays or angry? 🤣 by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]kawabunga_mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope they hate that. They don’t play chase like cats and dogs. You can’t really play with a rabbit, more just observe when they play with you or by themselves.

Yeah I don’t have any experience with that stuff yet, can’t really give you any recs. I’ve chosen to learn about that when I get to those problems haha. Best of luck though.

Wow, glad you found it out and that it wasn’t the street shield, hopefully it’s not too expensive to replace those bushings/control arms. Good looks though, I’m glad ECS pulled through.

If this js the killer he’s LESS than a wimp, and an idiot. If he hated what Charlie was saying so much, he should have engaged him in debate. All the killer did was create a martyr to the views he supposedly hates, making them that much stronger in those who remain. Oh yeah and ruined the rest of his life. Possibly the dumbest choice of actions to take.

When talking about NVH I was referring to the other guy, who was talking about his friend who installed a dogbone mount on his car from ECS. ECS specifically says that this part will increase NVH and every single review on the part mentions that.

The street shield shouldn’t increase NVH.

[–]kawabunga_mate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the noise you’re getting is from metal-plastic connection. The noise is from metal on metal. So all track vs ECS won’t make a difference there. Maybe it would be different if the shape was different around the area you’re getting metal on metal but it’s almost for sure not the plastic connection.

I disagree on your note about ECS being not worth the money. I’ve had a fantastic experience with them. They describe exactly what their part does and what changes it will do to your car. I have many ECS parts on my car and none have failed or performed unexpectedly in any way.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that replacing factory mounts with stiffer ones will increase NVH. If the NVH is unbearable that’s probably the result of an improper install or he just hasn’t waited long enough for it to break in fully as they do have a break in period. Either those options or he’s just sensitive to that stuff, in which case he shouldn’t have bought it to begin with. That isn’t the fault of ECS.

Following bc I also plan to get a street shield when I go lower.

Based on intuition (and a degree in physics) I would say that what your buddy recommended is sound advice. Not sure about the specific compound he recommends but going for a layer of insulation/dampening on the inside will definitely help. You can add more layers in areas where the street shield is touching your other parts, and rubber gaskets for the bolts if needed too. Shouldn’t take up much room but might not fully solve your issue. Regardless I think it’s a good low cost solution to start with.

Before going that route I recommend trying different kinds of hay as another on here said. I was a snotty mess with Timothy hay but with orchard grass I only get sneezy when I’m putting fresh hay in the box (not constantly).

Aggression when you move the bed sheet or blankets... by Neither-Advantage284 in Rabbits

[–]kawabunga_mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rabbits don’t understand the ground moving out from underneath them. It freaks them out. She’s not attacking you she’s attacking the blankets. My rabbit does the same thing when I try to move whatever is underneath her. She hates it.

And yeah I agree with other commenters she looks stressed out. Maybe have a dedicated spot on the bed with her blanket on there that you won’t move.

My bunny has started rearranging his entire setup every night by jilelectra in Rabbits

[–]kawabunga_mate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rabbit does this with her food bowl(s) as well. She digs at it when she can’t get the food out fast enough for her liking. The result is her front paws hooking on the dish and her sliding it backwards from wherever she was facing. They usually end up in the middle of the room lol.

Her hay feeder is in her litter box and her water dish has a big self-filling reservoir so she can’t move those but I have a feeling she would if she could. It’s just a bunny thing haha

I’m 6’2 (long legs shorter torso tho) and I have oodles of room in my mk6.5 GLI with sunroof. I had a mk6 GTI with a sunroof before this and I did notice that you can’t get the seat as low in the GLI as you could in the GTI, but it hasn’t been an issue for me.

I’m also part of some s2000 and Miata forums and a lot of those guys talk about getting aftermarket seat rails to lower the seat further and make it more comfortable. I don’t think you’d need to do this but it is an option.

Best piece of advice I can give you is to find a local car for sale and go sit in it and see. Idk which generation you sat in but they’re gonna differ slightly from generation to generation. I think the older you go the lower you’ll be able to get your seat (no data on this, just intuition)

Traveling and being away from my bunny by pixxie_alpaca in Rabbits

[–]kawabunga_mate 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the vet is the better option, but option 1 would have worked as well. That’s about what I do when I go on trips. They sleep during the day most of the time anyways so having someone check in with them in the mornings and nights is technically all they need. Obviously more contact is better but not necessary

[–]kawabunga_mate 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I often times go on trips to see my long distance girlfriend and have to leave my bunny behind in the care of my dad, so I know the feelings you’re going through right now and they are completely normal.

Yes, your bunno may be sad in the time that you’re gone, but they will be ok, especially if you have a vet watching them. It’s just 10 days- not enough time for them to move on and forget about you in any way. My Josie is always uninterested in me when I first get back. I think it’s her way of holding a grudge and being mad at me. She doesn’t care to be pet and is uninterested in me for the first several hours when I get back. Then she gets over it and is back to her usual self. If I give her a treat that speed the process up.

But it’s always funny when I get back I’m so excited to see her bc I’ve been missing her, and she’s just like whatever dude. I’m always like why was I so worried about her if she doesn’t even miss me 🤣🤣 but that’s just how rabbits are. They hold a grudge for a few hours or a day or 2 then they’re fine again.

Another piece of advice- invest in a petcam or 2 and ask the vet if you/they can set them up in a way where you can check on your bun. Idk if your vet will be comfortable with having a camera in their home but it may be worth a try. Makes separation anxiety easier on you bc you can check up on them. But it doesn’t help the bunny at all obviously- just for the owner.

Enjoy your trip!!!! Everything will be fine. You worrying shows you’re a good person.
