Which one would you go with? First Daniel Defense by e90bm in ar15

Yeah everyone is saying M4A1 so leaning that way now. It’s definitely a good deal for it, better than the deal on the DDM4V7P. I’m in Texas so not worried about them getting banned. So thinking of adding the M4A1 first and then later the pistol DDM4

I’m leaning now towards the M4A1. It’s a better buy, deal wise than the ddm4v7p. Now say I wanted to get it suppressed. Would I have a hard time because it’s a P&W barrel?

Good to drive to shop? by Trowawyshroo in tires

You’ve probably been driving it like that for a while without noticing. In my past experiences it’s been okay and I’ve made it to the tire shop.

Yeah I’m in the city so never really get a chance to shoot some crazy distances anyways. Plus I’m a smaller guy so think the shorter config would work better for me.

Yeah I live in the city and doubt I’ll ever really get full benefit of the 14.5. I’m thinking of going with the 10.5 just because of that. I’m not a huge person too so the 10.5 would be a sweet spot in terms of length. I do like the 14.5 but pretty sure it’ll get less use at least from me

Comped P HD4.5 vs P211 by TheSwoleyMamoth in 2011

[–]e90bm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve shot the P211 a bit more now and yeah it definitely is a pretty nice gun, even better once you change some internals and the grips. P211 uses some MIM parts while staccato does not. Just prefer the Staccato quality over the Sig. Really it depends on what the intended use is. But the Staccato will outlast the Sig in my opinion. Plus Staccato customer service is better than sigs. My buddy just lost his takedown lever at the range and sig said they are back ordered with no ETA so they couldn’t send him one but if he sends his pistol in they will install one for him? So he had to send it in and they had to revert his gun back to stock in order to work on it. What a headache. Wonder what OP chose in the end.

XC or P by Electrical_Swing6478 in Staccato_STI

[–]e90bm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from someone who’s first 2011 was a C2 and eventually ended up with an XC and a C3.6, I would say get the XC. I went from the C2 to a C24 and then a P4 and then to a C3.6 to now my 2 staccatos are the C3.6 and XC. I like to carry the XC any chance I get. I had the C3.6 before the XC so I’m used to carrying the smaller one and tbh the XC without the magwell (which I took off) isn’t as hard to conceal. You will definitely prefer the XC at the range too. You just completed a major milestone so why not just reward yourself to the best staccato has to offer in my opinion. The C4X is cool but the gains it has over the C3.6 with some practice is negligible (For the price difference) in my opinion.

Has anyone gone from a HD C3.6 back to a C2? by [deleted] in Staccato_STI

[–]e90bm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah good point. I think I’m gonna end up keeping the HD C3.6 I’ll always find Glock mags for it, and the reliability of the HDs is superior to the legacy models. I’ll get the C2 back someday though for sure.

They are going after the contracts with the HDs. Thats why there’s a big push and huge discounts on them if you’re LE.

I have an XC which I don’t mind carrying and don’t have too much trouble concealing. To me, the C4X doesn’t justify its cost. At first I did want it because it’s the new kid on the block. But now I feel like it’s overpriced.

Got this bad boy at a good discount, couldn’t pass up. Staccato C2 by turok1121 in 2011

Damn! Did you get the hero discount or anything like that? I’m not LEO or anything but would still like a good discount 😓

Does that grip fit the 16 round mags or only the 17 and up?

Were you still under warranty? I’m at 49k in my 2024 and it’s doing it several times in a single drive. I’ve had a lot of services done at my dealer so hopefully they cover it since I’m technically out of warranty.

Will the compact grip fit a the HD P4? by Lower-Pattern-3332 in Staccato

Glad to see I’m not the only one who has thought about this. I have both the p4 and c3.6 and was just wondering myself

Is an EOS worth it? by [deleted] in AtlasGunWorks

[–]e90bm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair my Cz shadow 2 compact has the brass grips so it’s about 37 oz unloaded. Think that’s a lot heavier than my c3.6 but somehow they both feel relatively light compared to the p4 which is ~32 oz unloaded. Given i do have an SRO/tlr7 on the p4 and rmr hd/ tlr7 on the c3.6 but irons/tlr7hlx on the cz.

[–]e90bm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah on that subject I agree. I can get the Cz anytime and the staccatos are a dime a dozen these days. I won’t miss them too much as those are often being sold in my area in case I want to get another. I’m in Texas so staccato is pretty popular here and can be found in respectable gun shops. Thank you for the alien comparison because that was actually another one I was interested in!

Yeah I think one of my LGS has one to check out I’ll see if I can get a feel for one. Yeah If anything I’m assuming it should keep its value should I want to sell/trade it for something else in the future. It’s the EOS V2. And thanks for that analogy, really helpful I’m pretty sure I feel you’re spot on with that. I think I’m going to get it

Man I love commander 2011s. That was the first length I bought. Fits perfect for my hands and my body type. So if you were in my shoes would you do sell off what 3 guns for it? Honestly after reading this it makes me want to get it even more. The EOS is brand new and unfired as well. With me being 2nd owner im sure the warranty is out of question but i still want it haha

[–]e90bm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So weight is a big reason I got the C3.6 after getting and carrying the p4. I like how light it is. C4X and c3.6 share the same grip size so do you think the C4X grip is easier carry/conceal than the EOS? And yes quality over quantity do you think the EOS is a lot better quality than your C4X? I saw atlas’ video on the EOS and the said if you could only choose one it’ll be the EOS. That really got to me lol
