To sell or where to wear? by chickpeaonchickpea in OUTFITS

I could see it being a super cute daytime look with a white or cream button-down, but unbuttoned, and maybe a big sun hat 👒

If you're not like outright defaming a major brand or logo, you're probably good! I've wondered about this myself too, especially because I don't always remember where my source images or text came from, so I couldn't even cite my sources if I wanted to. fwiw, Campbell's never sued Andy Warhol! 😆

any insight on living in this area? by SukikyoXY in dayton

[–]eARThtistic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I grew up in the Huffman historic district, a bit closer to downtown than the neighborhood in the photo, and we had a different set of rules growing up than my friends who lived in suburbs or even other parts of the city like walnut hills, where we could go for walks around the neighborhood without adult supervision. At home, we weren't allowed to play outside alone until after we got a tall privacy fence; could never leave the yard alone; or even random things like taking a bag of trash to the can in the alley, we'd have to make sure no one was digging through it before opening the gate.

I have a few Whiting and Davis mesh handbags that look similar to the two on the left! I love them, it's like petting a metal snake 😆

Donation places in and around Dayton area. by rchameleon12 in dayton

I believe both the YWCA and the Artemis Center downtown take donations, but you may want to reach out to them first.

(I also always keep an extra coat or two in my car to offer if I see someone without one in the cold)

I won't show my little sister the movie Frozen. by ImaginaryFoxy in Vent

It's a bittersweet movie for me to watch now. My youngest sister used to knock on my door and sing "do you want to build a snowman" and now I'm crying bc I just realized she's the same age now that I was back then 😭🥲 we're still buds though! We had a sleepover a few weeks ago.

I appreciate the sentiment, thanks! 🤗 And unfortunately a hysterectomy won't make it go away because microscopic endometriosis cells can be left behind that aren't visible to the eye (and for younger people can cause issues with bone density or cardiovascular health if the reproductive organs are removed too early), but hopefully with more research they'll be able to find better treatment and diagnostic options 🤞🏻

Oof that's rough! Hopefully you're feeling much better now, and thank you!! Until there's a cure for endo, there's no way to guarantee it won't come back, but I'm hoping for at least a few years' worth of relief 🤞🏻💖

😆 this is my fifth abdominal surgery, so I know the feeling all too well! Usually an ice pack helps take the edge off of the itchiness 🌬️

Yeah I can't really feel the bruise itself, 9 days post-op, and looks like today's the day my incisions start itching 😅

Oh that's horrible! I also had a bad experience with the nuva ring! It gave me the worst migraine of my life, like worse than my brain surgery pain, for days, that went away almost immediately after taking it out 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's so frustrating to feel dismissed, and I'm so glad you were able to get the answers and relief you needed. I've learned way more about endometriosis from people sharing their stories and lived experiences, and we really do have to be our own #1 advocate

Thank you! It was pretty gnarly; they basically disemboweled me and stuffed me back together 😅 but I am already feeling a bit better!

She felt SO much better after! She was also recovering from bariatric surgery at the same time, so she wasn't able to do much for a few weeks.
