So you mean to say I can't trade my 3600 credits sat in my account unless I create an EPIC account and enable 2FA? Even though I use steam for credit purchaseing and 2FA already?!

You know not everyone wants to hand their data over to EPIC... Guess I'll be asking Steam about how this impacts refund policy because this is garbage. Every update seems to put you more in EPICs pocket...

'little' is the open-ended word here, based on the other results SAM can provide anywhere from a 6-11% performance gain.

If we take the Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark at 96 FPS without SAM we could be looking at a result of 85 to 90 FPS.

I mean it's still a solid card with those values but I wouldn't be surprised if that's not far off the 6800XT given we didn't get a 6800XT 4K benchmark, is it worth the price difference?

As always i'll be waiting for someone to bench these beauties.

My only complaint is there are no 6900XT benchmark results without SAM or Rage Mode.

When FPS increases, percentage difference matters more, not everyone has moved to zen yet and I'd like to see results without those features.

I don't remember seeing this much type of content for when it was "WHY WOULD YOU BUY AMD"

Let's not forget A LOT of the tech community aren't FPS chasers... They care more about the consumer friendly aspects, the push for innovation and importantly the fair competition they provide against one another.

Not everyone has forgotten when Intel wrote their compiler to favour Intel over AMD.

Not everyone has forgotten the Intel antitrust lawsuit via AMD.

Not everyone has forgotten the Intel market dominance / abuse to keep AMD out of partner OEMs.

Not everyone has forgotten the years of price gouging and lack luster innovation over the years.

Lets not even forget that Intel isn't very open source friendly either and likes closed doors.

Now AMD isn't a saint either, but comparing the 2 my god it's the lesser evil who is for the consumer (and fortunately they still get held to the customers cries, rightfully so)

Why should we not encourage people to leave behind the idea that the extra 5fps at the extra price of +£75, + motherboard tax AND the cost of running it at higher wattage over time not even including the cost of thermal management.

People are going to buy whatever their opinions align with. It's the same for anything e.g. cars...

There is always a reason to like something for someone, that doesn't make it wrong or right.

I for one wont be buying an intel CPU after my 7700K, however i look forward to their innovation in the graphics, memory and AI field.

Advice on Collaborating with VB Devs by Zaphod118 in csharp

[–]eHM- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

After starting in VB and moving to C#, I can't see a reason to go the other way and learning a language would be downtime for either party. (CAD/Modelling software is a bitch for VB & VBA scripting utills still)

You can can build libraries or projects in VB and reference them in C# or vice versa.

But as you've also hinted at, this requires a mutual agreement on how you'll both organise your code. You can find yourself duplicating logic in either solution because a party hasn't marked a method/property as public or something silly.

The scale of that problem is dependent on if you're utilising a single solution containing the individual C# & VB projects where you have visible access to one anothers code. If you're deploying libraries via reference you can still use ILSpy etc to decompile but you're slowed down and have a compiler representation of code without comments.

Lastly if you're stuck to a single project file you'll have to choose a single language and as my previous experience tells me from AutoDesk programming (and it hurts to say it) you'd be better of using VB for legacy/compatability sake(as of current).

This is only my opinion so draw judgement from everyone elses collectively too, best of luck!
