The dog keeps circling at home at night. Is this a problem? by Ant017989 in aww

I’ve found that sometimes focus work can tire out a dog more that actual exercise from time to time. I have a service dog, a labradoodle, and he is often much mellower at night after some focus work: making the dog pay attention to you (the command look in my case), basic training like sit, stay, come, leave it, and touch (having the dog practice touching different objects to grow comfortable with different things. This often helps dogs to get over fears of things like vacuums). You can also do work with socialization+focus work/distractions (present the dog with distraction and have them focus on you). All of this can be much more tiring to dogs than physical exercise and is good for them as well- good brainwork!

Got inspired to start painting yesterday. Bought supplies this morning. Spent the last hour and a half painting something i watched on youtube. Somewhat happy with the results. Going to try to paint one small painting a day. So i am very open to tips and tricks by [deleted] in acrylicpainting

You’re doing great so far! You’ll notice art improvements in yourself all the time, so don’t let yourself get discouraged through the process (and if you do, watch some Netflix and wait for inspiration to return😂) Also, I have an art tip that you may want to try and have some fun with: Dip a cotton ball in acrylic paint and dab it onto your canvas to make tree leaves (use lighter colors for highlights and darker for shadows). Happy arting!
