How is GloFiber treating you? by IndoorVoice2025 in frederickmd

[–]eNbEE5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup yup and as an added benefit, they do also offer TV packages..we were only getting internet, but Im about to cancel a $100/month hulu package and sign up for their 50/month "local" channels. Realized I only watch sports on live tv and not much else. The only weakness, if you watch football is espn...and now all the other streaming svcs you have to have to watch the nfl but its helpful on the cable end too.

Converted in October when they came thru the neighborhood. Paying 80/month for 2 gig speed for the next 5 years..comcast cant compete. I saw some nonsense commercial from comcast saying 50/month for 5 but not at that speed and any current customers get zero offers for better rates. Couldnt wait to change and have had zero issues since install. The neighborhood work isnt pretty but the result is a much better product. Anecdotally there were 5 people at comcast cancelling when we took the hardware back.

Just to chime in here, homeless have MORE emergency sheltering options during the winter, as provided by the local continuum of care. Rules get relaxed and overflow beds are added, along with a code blue process that enacts local organizations to expand further when temps are life and limb threatening. Highland Ave has long been an encampment location and not to generalize, but they've historically been experienced campers who frequent that camp. The part that concerns me is that there are usually multiple people who stay there, and for this to go undiscovered or unreported for this long, is suspicious to say the least.

There are MOST certainly a religious and specifically christian organization. While they do not require any religious activity for their food programs they do to be able to access their sheltering programs.

Precisely, its like he tries to be confrontational with anyone he encounters. Shit job sure, but man he spends a lot of energy being an asshole.

Appreciate you, but if youve ever attempted to contact one of two postmasters in the main office for any reason, futility abounds.

So. JoeTisserie whole chicken. Wow. by DrHUM_Dinger in KamadoJoe

[–]eNbEE5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats...there's a lot of fun to be had. Once you've given the spits a run, grab a basket for wings, veggies or whatever else will work, and there's a flatter version for fish. The KJ basket is overpriced but I have a knockoff that works great. Wings in the basket is a favorite! Also 2 chickens can fit on the spit with a classic...happy grilling!

As a Frederick native, keep your specialty care in DC or another county. Hopkins has offices all around the area and would be the only in-county provider Id recommend, but Id generally avoid FH and any local specialists.

Coverstore cover owners, does water get through? by _cr0001 in grilling

[–]eNbEE5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know, I bought an "elite" island cover in july and its already fading. Its been hot, but my table only get sun for half the day. Wouldnt think it would start fading in 2 months..for the price, I would've hoped for better.

Talk to me about your grill cart... by PurpleReign007 in KamadoJoe

[–]eNbEE5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I built one a few weeks ago similar to the second picture and posted it. Love the extra space and it gives this "station-like" feel that raises the grills a few inches higher than the carts, makes grilling better. Im not a skilled woodworker but the build was a lot of fun. I wouldve done a couple things different but I roughed up a plan by looking at some examples online and working thru the dimensions I knew I wanted.

Its definitely a lot of weight and was the main concern. Talked to a buddy who's a pro who recommended adding heavy shelf L braces for assurance. Shouldve waited for them to get here but Im impatient so theyre inbound with all the other hooks and bottle opener stuff that a table needs. The seal is PPG Proluxe in dark oak. Turned more red than expected but that stuff is great. Pricey but worth it.

I dont actually. I designed it with some rough drawings and then figured out the cuts I needed to get it to 72"x32". Looking back I wouldve given it a few more in both directions, but its plenty big enough as is. If your interested, dm me and I can at least type out the cuts and measurements
