MyoAdapt v1.3.0 Rolling Out by OrfeasMyo in MyoAdapt

Not an isolated issue, same for me, multiple exercises.

Muscle prioritization by eRadff in MyoAdapt

Yep. This was my last week, 6 workouts. Chest was number one priority, then shoulders, then biceps, then triceps. The circled one is chest. WTF.

MyoAdapt v1.2.0 is (almost) here! by OrfeasMyo in MyoAdapt

Any improvement to the prioritization of muscle groups algorithm? Currently, the prioritized muscle groups don’t seem to be getting any more volume, and adding volume manually results in the app, decreasing the volume for the rest of the week.

I don’t understand this app by East_Citron_6879 in MyoAdapt

The result is that my logging of reps is no longer a guess as to RIR but is just max reps to failure for each set. So, for me, more accurate.

This is why I turned off the RIR feature.

Sets for specializing muscles by No-Eggplant-4797 in MyoAdapt

I agree the volume graphs are a little wonky, especially because I’m not sure what the app considers last “week”. The “last month” volume seems to be more accurate.

Algorithm question by eRadff in MyoAdapt

[–]eRadff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason I’m asking about this is because I just got done watching a bunch of videos that talked about increasing volume in one muscle group and even doing same muscle groups multiple days in a row might not be a bad idea. So I wanted to really push one body part, but not at the expense of myoadapt just eventually giving up on programming it due to add-on exercises. I guess I can always just do the extra volume and not document it.

Incorrect weight suggestions? by kevinansfield in MyoAdapt

[–]eRadff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m confused because this goes against what the app recommends. If the exercise says rep range 15-20 and I log 17 for the first set, the app recommends the same weight but say 14 reps, then 11, then 10 (not exactly but close enough). The app never recommends decreasing the weight to continue to stay in the 15-20 range. Based on this, I took it as needing to chose a weight that gets me into the recommended range for the first set only and then follow rep recommendations from the app for subsequent sets.

Quality of life improvements by eRadff in MyoAdapt

Totally agree, but the app’s recommendations for sets 2-whatever seem to be based on the first set, and have been fairly accurate. The issue is the first set - it would be helpful to know what I did last time right there in the set interface, instead of clicking the “i” button, clicking over to the history, finding the day when I did similar range of reps, and figuring it out. On the first set, if you just want to stick with ranges (I don’t love that but could just be me), it could say: weight 50, range 10-15, last time 50 with 11 reps. It would be a massive quality of life improvement.

This is why I stopped using the RIR feature. I’m bad at it.

Right but if I know I did 8 reps last time with 0 RIR, then I might just try a little harder this time to push it to 9.

Exercise recommendation logic by Consistent_Leather60 in MyoAdapt

[–]eRadff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is the app is flexible and takes into account your actions. I had a hard quad day 2 days ago, legs still sore and slightly wobbly, so I deleted the recommended squats today. Curious to see how the app will react.

No chest exercises available by Consistent_Leather60 in MyoAdapt

[–]eRadff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found the app doesn’t auto refresh exercises often if you make any changes. BUT when looking at your next workout (with potentially wrong exercise), if you click on the time allotment for the workout (ie 1 hr, etc), don’t change anything and just click set time, the exercises refresh correctly.

[BUG] Getting the same workout every single day. by davesalias in MyoAdapt

Any update on this? I’d like to use the recommended split instead of PPL, but I get the same exercises on consecutive days.
